This was my first time visiting the Harrisburg Beach Club. My handsome date brought me to Coty Island for a walk after dinner. We decided to rest a few mins in the Adirondack chairs. The outside bar was a completely surprises to us. Bartenders Kelly and Steven were amazing. I can be a pain to please with drinks, but Kelly was on spot! She kept experimenting and letting me trying till I was satisfied. I highly recommend Kelly’s jello shooters. They don’t coming in those silly little cup, but she uses syringes instead. Wonderful idea!! Mess free and you don’t have to take the whole thing down in two seconds. I love that they are local supporters and only serve Pennsylvania liquor and beer. We stayed to watch the sunset and on our way back to the car, we stopped to watched the adult kickball league. Perfect ending to a perfect date. We will return to visit again soon!!! 🤍

Bartenders are an awesome lot-- props to Ingrid for keeping it real genuine and another gal for being just the right mix of chill & vibrant. LeAnn (sp?) kept doors open despite horrible winds from the water. She even started up the Food Truck bites for my order. "Still Fries" incredibly battered & oh-so crispy with a nice potato texture & flavor, especially with the added bacon & cheese drizzle. Chicken tenders done to juicy perfection. Food was satisfying, ambience was great, other patrons also good-natured. Did not expect to spend 3.5hrs solo, but totally worth all the wonderful conversations. Thank you all💛

An interesting spot at the end of city island I feel the name is a bit deceiving as there really isn’t a beach. I feel Thales should have a sanded area you can kick off your shoes and walk around as you would if you were at a beach or a sand volley ball pit was here for a work event and it was on a few food trucks which were just ok and that hurts to say since I love food trucks but these were not the good the ambiance is ok outside over looking the river the bar was open and that was just ok as well nothing really great

I was so excited to discover the beach club after moving to the area a couple months ago, the pictures online looked like a great atmosphere, stunning sunsets over the water, and I love anything that is a piece of preserving history and historic buildings. The first experience was so so, I took a friend that was in town visiting and we got to see a beautiful sunset and listen to music. Getting drinks was the downside; the bartenders didn't seem to want to wait on us. They weren't busy, stood around chatting, and then would wait on people coming to the bar after us. It wasn't until the only male bartender around came to wait on us that we were able to get drinks. We're 40-year-old women; we certainly don't expect this treatment when we go out for drinks. The next time I took a family member, we had to cut our time a bit short due to the parking situation so we could make it to a dinner reservation but overall still didn't get friendly vibes from the bartenders. I love the concept and being surrounded by the water, I would just love if the overall vibe from the staff made the...

Kind of awkward. Stood at the end of the bar trying to get noticed. They served everyone in my group, so I'm there last, just waiting.

Maybe there is some signal or something to get their attention. Watched the last with the drink at the end get served twice and couldn't spot it. 'Excuse me' ' Hi' and doing the awkward little wave while they walked passed didn't work. Even made eye contact with one.

I know I wasn't invisible, because the lady who showed up 5 minutes after, and stood right next to me getting her order taken noticed me. She apologized for jumping ahead. Not that it mattered a lot, I didn't know the secret signal anyway.

After about 10 minutes (between 8-12, didn't look at my watch till every one else had walked away with their drinks) I gave up. This place isn't for me. I prefer places where two bar tenders can handle a bar with more than one customer...

Once again, I find myself in a dilemma that I am compelled to write a review. I am flabbergasted at how awful the service is. There were more than 4 servers. I stood for 15 minutes in the line that they say you are supposed to wait. I literally watched them serve one person and then fumble around doing nothing while people waited patiently in line. There was one particular bartender working the main order area. She obviously has her own issues as it seemed she had low regard for persons of color. After waiting for service that wasn’t coming, I left very irritated. During most of my wait there were only a few drinks served and at times bartenders sevI g no one. We are in 2024. Businesses can’t afford to continue this kind of blatantly poor service. Note to ownership…don’t let a few bad apples ruin your business. Tell them to get it together, as I am not the first to...
