To start off, Ive never had African food before and I’ve found that it’s quite hard to come-by down south. I commute to Harrisburg for university. Did a quick google search for any local food joints near my stay and this gem popped up. The description said “Authentic African” and i was sold. Had no real expectations and didn’t even know what to order. Uncle over there was amazing at helping me understand each dish and even giving samples throughout my ordering process. Read moreDon't be intimidated by the names on the menu. This is good, well-prepared comfort food. I had the stewed beef over rice with collards, and everything was excellent. The collards were legit--not the tasteless boiled greens that others serve, but flavorful and tender. The beef was also very tender, and the tomato sauce it was served in was perfectly seasoned. And they're very accommodating--they have a wonderful (but HOT) spicy sauce they can serve on the side, but if you don't like spicy food, everything is prepared to be very mild. I had the egusi soup with beef and fufu I also ordered goat pepper soup with a side of fufu. Another plate I ordered was white fish with rice and beans topped with sauce and collard greens on the side and that was the best collard greens I’ve ever had.
