In the middle of a residential block, you will find a hidden gem. I eat the onion rava masal as well as the spinach and cheese masala. The crispy crepe outside is the same for both, each plate comes with a green dipping sauce (not spicy at all) and a tomato soup that i doubled as sauce. My personal fave was the onion rava masalas, huge chunks of curry potatoes, mixed with raw onions wrapped in a thin crunchy shell. The flavors mesh so well together and tastes super authentic. The sit down area is low key and not fancy but definitely worth the visit. Throughout my meal, you can tell this shop is frequented by locals and is not americanized at all. This is a hidden gem for sure. I've been living in Harrison for a few years now. I've always passed the deli but never visited. I decided to give them a try today, and I was not disappointed. I got a hot pastrami on rye with Russian dressing. They also have many different options as well on the menu for a little over $6. The sandwich was huge. It came with pickles. I'm a long time patron! We order often for lunch at work and I frequently take home the eggplant parm and the meatloaf. Ted and the crew are friendly and the service is courteous and fast.The prices are reasonable and there are things on the menu for the health conscious.
