Chicken strip dinner( menu doesn't say how many pieces but 4) $10.99 or basket for $8.99 both in the section that say 2 sides with every entree. Sides are $2.25 so it's not save $0.25 on second side since all entrees in the section are supposed to come with 2 sides, it's you pay $0.25 more to only get one side.
Also they have 3 pastas, the first 2 on the list are $11.99 the third is blank with no price. Not informed ahead of time that the third pasta is actually $2 more at $13.99 though I personally see it as misleading.
As for the food. Cajun beef pasta was cooked perfectly, only complaint was it could have used more spice to other being as it was Cajun.
The chicken strips where cooked just right as well but the issue with them is the quality of the chicken. A little too rubbery. Happens with frozen chicken though, but had good flavor on the seasons for the Cajun choice. And the mash potatoes and gravy we're actually the best part and had a unique flavor ofther than being just red potatoes.
3 stars for the fact of the menu issues, not being told without having to ask on the price of the third pasta and then not being asked if it was still okay instead of just saying " yeah I don't know why they don't have the price on there" and had to wait too long on a drink refill.
But the server was nice, and did check on the food taste shortly after leaving the food and asked of we needed anything else. Though we didn't see her again until...
Read moreI thought I was a true American until I came here, but it turns out I was not. Apparently, thick-cut deep-fried bacon served with delicious creamy ranch exists, and I had never had it before! Well, all that changed the other night, and I must say that it was the best gosh darned thing I've ever eaten. Seriously! Just order the fried bacon and ranch while you look over the menu, and thank me later.
We also got fried pickles with more of that heavenly ranch. God bless America. For the main course my wife and I split (yes, we were not feeling like glutinous animals) a fried pork tenderloin (get the white gravy, not the brown) with mashed potatoes and my Grannie's yeast roll (or at least it could have been). Oh, and did I mention the size of this monstrosity of fried pork delight?! I had to take a couple of photos! Needless to say, we only got through about a third of it and took a little bit of everything home for later. And two days later, it was somehow still just as delicious! Magic, perhaps? Who knows, but it was great 😜
So full disclosure, the service was a little off on this fateful night. They messed up our appetizers and then forgot the white gravy. But we ended up with a bonus serving of fried bacon (WIN!), so all was forgiven, and they eventually brought us the white gravy too (worth the wait). Next time we're in the area, we'll definitely consider...
Read moreIf it was not for the incredible food here, I would never set foot in here again. My husband and friends went here for a wonderful dinner last Saturday night, but it was anything but that!! The service was lacking, with the male server not writing down things and relying on his memory, which was very poor. We had to send back 2 of the 4 beverages, and 2 of the 4 deserts we ordered because he did not give us what we ordered. He even verbally clarified what we told him, relying on his memory, and he was right on the verbal clarification but brought us the wrong thing. With regards to the main meal, we did not receive all we ordered but we were tired of getting the servers attention and just lived with what we had. The food and deserts tasted wonderful!
I also have to note the absolutely HORRIBLE state of the restroom! The bathroom looked and smelled like it had not been cleaned in months and smelled like a baby diaper had been marinating in the trash all those months. The floor was sticky with God knows what! 2 of the toilets were filthy and there was toilet paper and whatever else stuck to the floor. When I am about to eat and I see this, it makes me wonder how clean the kitchen is!
If it was not for the food, we would have left and never ever thought about coming back.
