Be aware that this is one of those businesses that pressure their customers to tip when you go to pay when not actually providing any actual "service" to their customers. You go to the counter and place your order. Is the tip because they bring your food to you? No, you must go get your food when they call your name and they have signs everywhere that you must bus your own tables and they don't wipe the tables down from other customers if they make a mess. So they provide NO SERVICE that justifies tipping at all. They pay their employees minimum wage or higher and you, the customer do all the work and then are expected to tip them for doing the job they are being paid to do already.
They are PRICEY! We ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches and 3 Americano coffees that cost well over $40 and with the tip, expecting at that time that they would at least bring the food to our table which they don't do, that brought our total over $55 dollars! The sandwiches are DRY, no spread at all and when we went back up to ask for some mayonnaise to make it less dry they only had ketchup or mustard so we had to eat dry sandwiches. They coffee was not good.
Now, on the positive size, two of the breakfast sandwiches came on croissants which were fresh baked and one of them came with bacon that was a nice surprise and it had a sweet taste to it. The decor is very nice if you are into taking pictures to post all over your social media pages for "likes" but I'm not into that but I understand others are.
There are better places to eat and if they don't provide real service and pay their staff wait staff wages which are below the Federal minimum wage, they don't pressure their customers to tip employees that traditional they wouldn't be...
Read moreOur first visit to Sweet Honey was for breakfast Take-Out. The Hubby and I ordered the Breakfast Croissant Sandwich, which was top notch! We were most impressed with the candied bacon, though freshness was a close second. Our daughter got the biscuits and gravy. She devoured it all, which is saying something for the amount of food they give you. Our son got the Belgian Waffles and very nearly finished it too. He doesn't eat much unless it's exceptionally good. We knew we'd be back.
Our second visit, we went in on an exceptionally hot day looking for milkshakes. Boy, did we hit the jackpot here. Not only is the dining area so clean, bright, and fun, but they even have a photo-op wall at the entrance (which the kiddos took advantage of) And the shakes....they're on a different level entirely. The kiddos and I ordered the Caramel Turtle Craze, Celebration Time, and Give Me a Minty. They were gorgeously presented in a mason jar just like the photos on the menu. They were out of cheesecake bites for the Caramel Turtle Craze and offered a substitute, but I declined as it was already so big and pretty (I didn't want to mess it up). We also loved that organic whole milk was used! The staff was so friendly and helpful. This place is a must if you're...
Read moreAwful Donuts and Service. There was very little selection, they only had four kinds. Each kind had four donuts. The chocolate was the driest. The one with pink frosting was not a cake donut or fluffy. I wouldn’t say heavy, but very thick. They are large. The glazed was just ok, but still dry and awful. The young lady behind the counter had no customer skills and acted like it was a huge bother to get some donuts. I didn’t reach out to the restaurant as they are aware of what they are serving and they know it’s not fresh. We were staying 45 minutes from Harrison, so not driving back and what would we exchange them with, more awful donuts? We were there at 7 am on a Saturday when they first opened so they should have been fresh and soft. They were like ten day old donuts. Woooo Pig Sooie, avoid this place unless you like stale donuts and putting up with awful customer service. The price point was twenty dollars for some...
