I have to say that the crew that was working at Home Depot on Christmas Eve is the best!! I didn’t want to go anywhere on Christmas Eve because I don’t think anyone should have to work on holidays but my husband needed a specific item for our dinner so I went. He was wanting a temperature probe for cooking. It showed they have 11 of these items in stock. I looked & looked & they were nowhere to be seen. I went & talked to the customer service lady Sabrina (I think this is her name) she looked in their system & it showed no location but 11 in stock. She was at first confused a little but went & asked someone for help. I came around the corner of an isle & she was talking with another employee, Mike & he jumped into action. If you have never me Mike, I recommend you stop into Home Depot & shake his hand. He is one of the best whole hearted, kind people I have ever met!!! I followed Mike to where they should be & nothing. He pulled a few other employees in & organized a search knowing they were there but put in a “safe place.” Lol. After looking for this “hidden” pallet, for a considerable amount of time, I was about to head down to the road to a competitor when someone radioed that they found them in electrical on a pallet on the top shelf. Mike, George, & I headed to that isle & Jake & Kelby closed the isle to get them down for me. There were a couple other people helping look but I didn’t catch their names. We ordered all new kitchen cabinets and counter tops with integrated sink. The planning and ordering experience with Alma was absolutely the best. She is extremely knowledgeable and she was constantly searching for various options to enhance our experience as well as save us money. Due to COVID, the entire process from original order to final installation took about 7 months. That of course is no fault of Alma or Home Depot. The various subcontractors/installers were always on time, and very professional. Also, Alma did a great job of keeping us informed and updated. The quality of the kitchen cabinets is excellent. After everything was done and we decided to add some more cabinets, again Alma took charge of that. She pulled up our plans and we spent plenty of time looking at all the options. And again, she was able to really help on the pricing. My only slight complaint is that after our solid surface counter top was installed a small crack appeared a few weeks later. The company came back out and worked on it; however, they were never able to make it completely disappear. I have never given a store a 1 star review but I am just shocked at my recent experiences with a place I used to visit frequently.... I went into Home Depot to use store credit that I was given for recently returning a few items (with a receipt!). It was about $150 total and there was no other option but these little orange cards with my money back on them... Do not confuse these with store gift cards. They are NOT. Here's how I found that out, the item I went in to purchase tonight is ONLY available in the Home Depot online catalog so I was hopeful the store could order it for me (because I tried but wasnt able to on my home computer) and I could pay with my store credit there. The service center originally said they could order it at their desk and I could pay with my store credit while standing there IN THE STORE. NOT the case. I walked out empty handed, irritated about the rediculous return policy and limitations on their 'store credit'. I was there to buy a big kid bike for my son's birthday, they don't carry kind of thing in-store and honestly now I'm questioning ever shopping there again unless I am absolutely certain I won't be making a return.
