Usually never had a problem here. Been here maybe 5 times but I have to share what I experienced today. Upon entry into the restaurant, there is a lady in the vestibule area, frantically hitting the ground with a broom. I saw this through the window as I was approaching. Upon closer inspection, she was chasing a big cockroach trying to kill it with the broom. Not the greatest welcoming into an establishment that you’re about to spend money to eat at.
The second issue, once I bit into one of my slices, I pulled a hair out of my mouth. Both girls working had hair in buns, but not with hairnets which is probably where the hair came from. The owner was very apologetic about this and offered a refund and told me next time it was on him. Sadly I’m not sure if I can stomach a next time after seeing what I saw today…
For context, I work in the food industry and manage a restaurant myself. I am very understanding about most issues that may arise when eating out. Examples being order accuracy issues, food temperature issues, slow service. Anything really involving some sort of human error. We are all humans we make mistakes, it happens. But things involving food safety and things that can get people sick, it really irks me. We have a responsibility in the food industry to keep people safe and I did not see enough care being displayed regarding food safety for me to feel comfortable returning here. The lady that was chasing the cockroach just smiled at me and gave me the 🤫 face as she was chasing it. I think as a joke but if you’re comfortable to joke about it, that gives me the impression this is a common occurrence. I’m staying away for a while, good luck eating here. Like I said my prior experiences have been fine and the food was good. Love the fact they also serve alcohol. Just some food safety concerns will keep me away...
Read moreAbsolute worst place to order from. We are here visiting in New York / New Jersey and we wanted some good pizza. We ordered our pizza at 545 and we're first told it would be here by 630 and then received an update that said it would be here between 746-801 pm so we waited.
We called at 750 as we had not received it yet and they informed us we had to contact Slice as that is why was doing the delivery. (We did not select this as the delivery, Nino's selected them when I placed the order).
They told us we had to call Slice as they had nothing to do with it and they couldn't give us any information about it.
We called Slice and they told me that it was showing that it was delivered and told us to check outside the door. There was no delivery. We went downstairs to order food from the restaurant downstairs after waiting for over 2 hours and the pizza was sitting on the table in the lobby of the hotel.
The guy working said the person walked in dropped in on the table and left. The pizza box was destroyed as you will see in the photos and it was cold. He said it had been delivered about 30 mins prior.
Our room number AND phone number were on the order for them to deliver to our room or contact us. If a restaurant approves a can't to do deliveries for them they should back their business and be willing to make it right.
The way that this order happened and the way it was delivered is absolutely disgusting and disrespectful to...
Read moreI went in with a group of people and even before we could all arrive, the waitress was giving us an attitude. Unfortunately some of the people in the group had to leave early and so ordered through the front to take home, but the waitress was furious and sternly told my friends that they had to leave and couldn’t sit with the rest of us at the table. Prior to this, some of my friends bought drinks at the store next door and when confronted with the drinks, the waitress yelled at them. She could’ve easily de escalated the situation and just told them that outside drinks were not allowed, but she had this ugly look on her face that was a huge turn off. Furthermore, she called those friends of mine “smart asses” after they’ve left. Also, the food was terrible. The chicken fingers was too salty and my main course was bland. No seasoning and too hard, as well. The only good thing that I received was probably the snapple, that they didn’t even make. Also, the guy at the front was pretty good. He was super nice when I asked him for...
