BMC Bakes — Restaurant in Harrisonburg

We had BMC Bakes make desserts for a dessert table at our wedding a few months ago. We wanted to include a variety of desserts that were both delicious and safe for our guests to eat, as many have various dietary restrictions. Sarah worked with us to create an amazing menu of options, most of which were dairy-free and/or vegan in addition to being gluten free. Pickup was easy and they all were beautifully decorated. Our guests with food restrictions were so excited to have so many safe options, and our guests who didn't have food restrictions gushed about how amazing everything tasted! They said they wouldn't have known they were gluten free/dairy-free/vegan if they hadn't been told. The maple cinnamon macarons were a standout; people kept going back for more and every last one was gone by the end of the night! Sarah created the most stunning wedding cake I’ve ever seen. I asked for a design inspired by the night sky with my husband’s and my astrological constellations, and she brought it to life flawlessly. Not only was it beautiful, but it was delicious and gluten-free. She even made a second cake just for our grandfather’s 100th birthday, which we celebrated during the wedding! His favorite dessert is a Boston Creme, and she nailed it in a cake version! Communication was excellent every step of the way, and she truly went above and beyond to make our day so special. I was visiting Harrisonburg for work when I came across this bakery. They didn't have any gluten free + dairy free + soy free items baked that day. I was going to be back a few days later and decided to order the lemon bar and focacia bread.

The lemon bar was the perfect combination of sweet and tart. The texture was soft and there was no undesirable aftertaste. If you're a foodie, you should definitely stop in.
