Great place overall. I usually don’t do reviews, but this encounter with the staff rubbed my family and I the wrong way. The staff was very friendly and informative of their artwork. However, as we are leaving one of the staff members asked us if my partner (A Black male) was with us and wondering if “we picked him up off the street”. I was in shock because this is our first time someone has said something offensive in Harrisonburg, as a Black and Hispanic family living in the area. I’m sure she didn’t mean any harm, but the comment made was extremely offensive and unnecessary. She could’ve simply asked if he was with us, and greet him normally.
