Of all the Spanish speaking Cafe's, Bodegas, restaurants , coffee shops and Bakery's one could visit on all of Park St, El Nopal restaurant is the finest of them all. A quaint little box tucked into the West side, I was absolutely enamored by the whole place. I was so hungry, I just ordered some yellow corn soup, a Beef and Chicken Taco and an ice water with lime. After a bit of a wait, The Waitress/ Manager/Owner woman brought out some Papusa looking Tacos, double sided, and a steaming bowl of rich and hearty soup. I asked her what part of Mexico and she said Oaxaca. That explained so much , as the southern flare of Mexico came wafting up from my healthy sized plate. I would not hesitate in finding this treasure of a Mexican eatery, with flavors of El Salvador. Tucked in right next to Brazil Chirauasca at the end of Madison St, there you'll find El Nopal, this most delightful Spanish establishment. 🌶️🥑🫑😌 JS

This restaurant is a gem! ¡Que riquísimo la comida! The service was so personable and the food was absolutely authentic and delicious! Our whole family loved the experience. There was a giant blow up cactus man at the front of the restaurant and the kids loved that. The jamaica juice was so refreshing and the burritos were huge and so packed full of goodness! The carne asada was so filling and protien packed. The corn tortillas were definitely homemade and sooo good 🤤 The children really enjoyed the quesadillas and pupusas! Then she gave us this delicious fruit dessert at the end in a big cup and the kids fought over it because it was sooo good! Absolutely yummy and delicious experience! Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Be careful with the waitress at this location, she either does not know how to properly do math calculations or she steals from patrons. Since she didn't bring me my bill, I walked up to the register and handed her over my CC, I had no clue that she charged me $33.28 for a meal that was supposed to add up to $18.00. When she gave me the receipt to sign, I questioned her as to why my bill was so high and her response made zero sense. On the menu that she handed me at the location, the Nachos were $12.00 and a plate of rice and beans $3.00 which I ordered 2 for my small children. No matter how hard I tried to get her to do the right thing and charge me accordingly, she didn't comply and just handed me back $6.00 which if you do the math it's still incorrect. Because I had my small children with me and the restaurant was full of patrons I decided to leave and contacted the BBS to report such incident. PLEASE BE AWARE and make sure she hands you the receipt and carefully...
