Starbucks — Restaurant in Hartford

They prioritize online orders before in house orders. So the customers walking in along with the doctors and the nurses- have to literally wait ten -15 minutes for their order while they hurry and push out the online orders. One girl just had all these different excuses- “I’m sorry it just came out” came out of where if you giving it to me cold ??? “Oh you’re disrespectful!” No sweetie, you know what’s disrespectful? It’s disrespectful for ya to ask for tips but give slower service than McDonald’s. It doesn’t make sense. McDonald’s - not only gives you one thing. They give you an entire meal prepared all within 5 minutes and don’t ask for a tip. Was I rude? Yes! Who has ten minutes to wait for a COOKIE??! I understand waiting for the drinks. If I had a specialized mocha chocolate drink. Then yea I would have to wait. But the cookies? THEY ARE LITERALLY PRE-PACKAGED. All you’re doing is putting it in a bag and handing it to me. And you have the nerve to call me disrespectful? I’m sorry you have the patience a snail for a pre-packaged cookie. I do not. And for an establishment to ask for a tip but give me slower service than McDonald’s is preposterous....

Idk if it's the staff being young or if it's the management but this service at this Starbucks is so incredibly sloppy. I understand it's a high volume store but you can be a high volume store and give exceptional service. Every time I order at this Starbucks there's always an issue. Either they're way behind ( I always have to wait atleast 20 min ), or they forget items and then you have to wait even longer till they prepare the forgotten item. I used to work for Starbucks. Nobody at this location communicates with each other. Either they mumble order names ( zero energy. ) Or they don't double check with customers to make sure they're taking the right order ( customers with the same name ) to prevent mistakes. If there were more organization and communication between the staff. There would be a quicker turn around time and less mistakes. Only reason I go to this location is cause it's on the hospital campus. If the Dunkin across the street were on campus I'd go to them over this Starbucks location ANYDAY. I only go to this location out...

Well I decided to try Starbucks after many years of absence(since The one in West Hartford center in 2021 I think). And the main reason why I chose starbucks today was because Mcdonalds drive tru 3 blocks down was insane!Too crowded so I left even though I already ordered the usual big breakfast lol. No hotcakes today though! (Hoping they can get my order on time but after 20 minutes they failed me).

The small coffee with milk I ordered was delicious! Warm and ready to keep me awake! Waiting line was not bad. I got here by 9 :40 am before the nurses/surgeons crowd came. I also tried the impossible sausage sandwich it was soooooo good!Overall I spent 9 dollars so it was not bad. I was gonna spend 10 dollars with Mcdonalds but like i said before they took too long to take care of me. I dont usually come to Starbucks. I used to do it every week in the Bronx during a season(The one by number 1 train marble hill) but that was the past and I dont want to talk about it.
