Taiwan Night Market — Restaurant in Hartford

I'm a food lover and even more of an Asian food lover. I saw the reviews for Taiwan Night Market and had to check it out. Since the food stand is inside Parkville Market, I had to save some room, so I ordered my appetizers from here. Honestly, I wanted to order everything. Once the food was ready I picked it up and brought it to our picnic table. Parkville Market has a trendy, mall food court ambiance to it.

First off, I ordered the crab rangoons and chicken poppers. The crab rangoons were just the way I like it, thin wonton wrapper and a creamy robust filling of cream cheese, imitation crab, etc. The dipping sauce is sweet chili which paired well with it. I also ordered the chicken poppers to share with my spouse and toddler; my toddler devoured 99% of it, which is saying a lot because he's picky. The poppers were crispy and had lots of flavors; it came with a spicy mayo type sauce. We were there early so I didn't have to wait in a line and the food came out in 5 minutes. Absolutely perfect. I'd been in airports all day and the rice roll and chicken were served up hot and fresh, absolutely hitting the spot. The World Star Chicken is HUGE! And so perfectly crispy! The rice roll is soft and pillowy, but substantial enough not to fall apart when you pick it up. The shrimp are perfectly cooked, tender and not rubbery at all.
