The food is mostly good, so for that I gave 3 stars. The problem starts where they have a menu, with no prices! (on purpose? I don't know), and therefor, when you order you're not sure what price your order for, even if you're asking what's the price, it's a little awkward, then in the register, he just asks you what you ordered and give you a total which also doesn't make anything clear. In the bottom line, we ended up with a bill higher than we had to, and that's not very honest from the nice workers there. Make sure what is the price of each food item, drink especially (A nectar juice cost there 3.99! and no one tell you that before, you find out in the register) and do the math by yourself to make sure you don't get ripped off. All in all, good food for those who likes Mediterranean food, but be aware of what you take and know the price...
Read moreI was craving a gyro and came across this place on Google. I have to say it’s very unsuspecting being that it’s in a Mediterranean super market you would never know they sold fresh food inside just driving by.

I ended up ordering another gyro and picked up 2 Falafel wraps to take home for dinner with my wife. Fast forward 4 hrs later and sitting in the fridge they were still very good!
The two brothers and younger gentleman were extremely friendly and always had a smile on their face. Place was also very clean considering the steady flow of orders.
I will definitely be coming back and suggest you give this unsuspecting spot a try…you will not be...
Read moreThis is my absolute favorite place in Hartford/West Hartford to enjoy a meal or shop for the hard to find ingredients for middle eastern, indian, turkish and asian food. It is a family run business and every time I enter the shop, one or more of the siblings who tend the store greet me warmly and ask if I need help. If you are looking for a terrific lunch, the falafel sandwich is the best I have ever tasted and most people at the lunch counter or picking up their takeout have at least one falafel in their midst. With food made fresh to order and fantastic Lebanese baked goods made fresh in store, it is a MUST for anyone who loves middle eastern cooking. Also a must: Pick up the cookbook written by the master Chef, Cooking with Saima. Beautiful recipes right...
