The food is mostly good, so for that I gave 3 stars. The problem starts where they have a menu, with no prices! (on purpose? I don't know), and therefor, when you order you're not sure what price your order for, even if you're asking what's the price, it's a little awkward, then in the register, he just asks you what you ordered and give you a total which also doesn't make anything clear. In the bottom line, we ended up with a bill higher than we had to, and that's not very honest from the nice workers there. Make sure what is the price of each food item, drink especially (A nectar juice cost there 3.99! and no one tell you that before, you find out in the register) and do the math by yourself to make sure you don't get ripped off. All in all, good food for those who likes Mediterranean food, but be aware of what you take and know the price...

I was craving a gyro and came across this place on Google. I have to say it’s very unsuspecting being that it’s in a Mediterranean super market you would never know they sold fresh food inside just driving by.

I ordered my Gyro and have to say it was very good! Definitely one of the best I’ve had in CT if not the best. On the smaller side but wasn’t falling apart and onto your plate. I ended up ordering another gyro and picked up 2 Falafel wraps to take home for dinner with my wife. Fast forward 4 hrs later and sitting in the fridge they were still very good!

The two brothers and younger gentleman were extremely friendly and always had a smile on their face. Place was also very clean considering the steady flow of orders.

I will definitely be coming back and suggest you give this unsuspecting spot a try…you will not be...

This is my absolute favorite place in Hartford/West Hartford to enjoy a meal or shop for the hard to find ingredients for middle eastern, indian, turkish and asian food. It is a family run business and every time I enter the shop, one or more of the siblings who tend the store greet me warmly and ask if I need help. If you are looking for a terrific lunch, the falafel sandwich is the best I have ever tasted and most people at the lunch counter or picking up their takeout have at least one falafel in their midst. With food made fresh to order and fantastic Lebanese baked goods made fresh in store, it is a MUST for anyone who loves middle eastern cooking. Also a must: Pick up the cookbook written by the master Chef, Cooking with Saima. Beautiful recipes right...

i’m sorry but it literally doesn’t get better then this. peak food experience. the falafel wrap is like a bite of heaven, i am now unable to get falafel anywhere else because it’s just so pathetic compared to these. be sure to call in advance to order, and i’ve never seen a staff who looks like they love their job more. all of them are rays of sunshine. and let’s not even talk about the actual grocery selection. the 7 layer halva is a must buy whenever I go. beautiful atmosphere. i’m still in awe that the best falafel i’ve had is somehow in connecticut of all places

Been coming here for years, always great service and food. The falafel sandwich is delicious I always get it with hot sauce and no onions. Baba Ganouj is creamy and tangy served with a good portion of bread, and the hummus as well. As you can see in the pictures the selection of foods from all over the Middle East is amazing from olives to pots and pans. The outside seating area is beautiful. on sunny day it makes you feel like you are on the beach. Store is clean and food selection is great. ♿️ accessible
