China House — Restaurant in Hartford

I got delivery from China House last night and I was very displeased. About the only thing that was done properly was that the order was correct, and they sent the extra packets of duck sauce, as requested, they charged me for them, but at least they were there. I ordered the SWEET N SOUR SHRIMP WITH PORK FRIED RICE and it came as four medium sized shrimp with sooo much of that spongy golden colored breading. The shrimp themselves were so very small compared to the amount of breading that covered it. After I pulled off the bread I was about to eat the shrimp in one bite...there were only 4 of them, and I paid almost $8 for this meal. The PORK FRIED RICE was nothing to write home about.. pretty ordinary...it came cold in temperature even though I live about 5 minutes from the restaurant....anyway...my boyfriend got the SHRIMP LO-MEIN and even though he is pretty easy to please he said to me about an hour after the meal, "didn't like that Chinese food too much" which is waaaayyy outta character because he doesn't usually complain about food, he just eats it... Well I will probably try and avoid this place next time, I am new to the area so my old favorite Chinese place doesn't reach me...Hopefully I can find a different one...

I've been using China house for a while, and they are always late. Tonight I waited over an hour for basic chicken wings and egg rolls, I called once an hour passed because my sister had to get picked up from work. She said she will call the driver and call me back, five minutes went by and I called her back, she said oh I just called him go outside he is two minutes away. I explained to her tha I was already outside because I was in my car leaving and if he's not going to make it just cancel my order. I pulled off because he was not there and as I headed down the street he called me saying he was outside. He was not outside my house because he almost side swiped my car trying to get to my house. THEY ARE RUDE TO CUSTOMERS SOMETIMES. I WENT TO ORDER SWEET CHICKEN, I ORDERED IT AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER ASKED WHAT KIND OF TEA THEY WERE SELLING. THE GIRL IN CHARGE OF SERVING THE CUSTOMERS (A LADY) KICKED ME OUT SAYING: WHAT KIND OF QUESTION WAS THAT? (SHE WAS OBVIOUSLY UPSET BY MY QUESTION) AND I TOLD HER THAT I JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF TEA IT WAS, SINCE THERE ARE MANY KINDS OF TEA, AND SHE TOLD ME: WELL I DON’T KNOW WHAT KIND OF TEA IT IS, IT’S JUST TEA AND THAT’S IT. AND I TOLD HER: OK I’M SORRY, YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE BOTHERED, I JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHAT I’M GOING TO DRINK, I DON’T LIKE ANY KIND OF TEA.
