My friend and I live a couple blocks away and we were excited to have a coffee shop in walking distance! Unfortunately due to an extremely rude staff we won't be back. We were the only people in line and we both said Hi to the four girls working. They completely ignored us. At that point I knew I would never be back so I remained calm and just wanted to finish my transaction. After about 3 minutes they asked if we were ready. The manager or shift lead was none to happy that I asked for simple syrup instead of taking the sugar packets she recommended. We got an eye roll for that. She was walking the still in training cashier, who looked absolutely terrified, through our order. She did not smile or display any sort of emotion or personality whatsoever. I continued to be pleasant as this was my day off and I wasn't going to let anyone ruin it. We tipped 2 dollars simply because I have done this sort of work before and know how low the pay is. We got no thank you, no smile or acknowledgement of any kind. Our order came to 12 bucks and change plus tip so almost 15.00. To be treated like s*. I'm from MPLS so I'm used to poor service from Caribou employees but I thought maybe in a small town like Hastings I would be surprised. Nope lol. Hey at least they are consistent with poor customer service. 12 dollars buys me a bag of coffee beans that I can grind at home. I'll do that from now on. Unless you have money to burn I would avoid this location. This is a check in. What makes this particular company bad is I've never received any response about anything I've ever published about their poor customer service etc. So many other choices...
Read moreThe food is ok but the negative attitude towards customers and the slow service doesn’t make it worth going! If you don’t like your job don’t work there. All they do is take care of the drive through and sit on thier phones while people inside are waiting in line to be assisted. I’ve contacted corporate but they don’t seem to care about it as nothing has seemed to change in the employees behavior or attitude . She acted like me being there was a huge problem for her like whatever on her phone was so important. I recommend if you want fast service go through the drive thru because that seems to be thier first and most times only priority! I’ve spoke to management about this and corporate they both don’t seem to care ! Read moreI have gone to this location 5 times and never had a good experience. The drip coffee is, at best, luke-warm. They don't accept the mobile app and twice they haven't been able to sell giftcards. The service is okay, but the actual product is severely lacking.
