Hattrick's Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Hatfield Borough

If I could give this bar 0 stars, I would. My boyfriend and I just moved to the area and went here for the first time for a couple drinks and some food. We ordered off of the “late night menu” and ordered a dozen honey hot wings and also a separate order of seasoned fries. When the food came out, the bartender, Val, even stated that it was strange that the wings and fries came in one basket since they were separate orders. My boyfriend and I finished the food and then asked for the check. Upon looking at the check, we noticed that we were charged for a full order of a dozen and wings which was around 10$ and then a separate order of fries which was around 6$. We had asked the bartender why this was the case when we only received half of each of the orders, she went and got the manger, which was also the owner. He came out to the bar and began explaining to us that the menu does not say a dozen, it says a pound of wings and that he weighed the wings. He got an attitude and said he would bring a scale out so we could measure the wings ourselves. We tried to explain it is not about the price, but the principle and this was our first time here and we were a bit disappointed. We then asked him for the menu so we could show him that it did in fact say “a dozen wings” the owner told us no and refused to give us the menu. The bartender, Val, then got the menu and showed it to him stating that it does say a dozen wings. He shooed her away and continued arguing with us. We explained we will pay because it was not about the money, but the owner, who smelled strongly of alcohol, will never have our business again- he was not bothered at all and continued to be an “ass”for lack of a better word. Other patrons in the bar even said that we were right and we should not have had to pay what we did because they witnessed all of this. The service other than this was great, we had a free ride from the wonderful bouncer due to the “safe ride” shuttle they offer and the bartenders Val and Cat were great; even the food was great. Supposed 'manager' accosted a friend and I for using the singular term 'hos' in private conversation. She then attempted to inform us whilst obviously intoxicated and off shift. Throwing her influence and stating her position of power in a threatening attitude; would toss us for using the term. No mention of the superfluous tips, or Patron we were purchasing, all the while in complete impartiality of the wait staff. Spend your money somewhere else that respects free speech. Stopped it on game day to watch the EAGLES and catch a late lunch. The place was not crowded had a few locals. Bob the owner was great. He was working by himself but you wouldn't know it. Food was out fresh hot and surprisingly fast as well. If you enjoy good wings, let me tell you, get 'em. They were done perfectly and the Buffalo Garlic sauce, "Off The Chain".
