Crust Pizzeria — Restaurant in Haverford Township

Enjoyed a special lunch with my sister during the week in this Havertown pizza restaurant-caterer. There are two tables for seating, coolers offering a variety of cold drinks as well as side salads. We opted to share a Ceasar salad while our pizza was cooking as it was plenty for two people, maybe more depending upon hunger level. We were famished! Detroit style pizza is what the sign claimed to offer...well, WOW was it something to drop your eye teeth at first sight!! BEAUTIFUL pizza! I have never referred to pizza as beautiful until now. Taste?? WOW it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Fresh ingredients, real authentic pizza sauce and the finest of toppings. We opted for the large, half onion half pepperoni. I ate one piece and tried to fit another but could not finish the slice. Same for my sister! We split the pie to bring home to have later with family and it did not go to waste. I thought i was a thin crust round pie kind of guy...this place is changing my opinion pizza by pizza. Always liked a crispy thin, lightly charred neopolitan round with simple ingredients and a good undercarriage. I had eaten a few different Chicago deep dish pies, and while good, and really filling, just not my jam so much.

But this Detroit style, and specifically from Crust...it's just damn good. the bread holds up and has great flavor. I have had a 1946, a 1946 add pepperoni and hot honey, a detroit burratta pepperoni, hot honey and basilwith detroit sauce and brick cheese, a south philly, and a santorini, and every one was as good as the next. and unlike a thin pizza, this crust can hold up to the toppings on the more loaded pizzas...the cheese and bread on the edge of the pie has that crusty pan toasted amazingness, and the ingredients are top notch.

I like this pizza just as much as my favorite round pies. Good to have two great options.

Crust really...

I am updating my review to 5 Stars! The owner Stacey called me and apologized! She emailed me a giftcard for the amount I spent! I understand mistakes happen and she definitely made it right! My review is based on the customer service that I received from the manager. I ordered 2 small Detroit pizzas and received 2 hot honey Detroit pizzas. I called and informed the manager that my pizza was spicy hot and I wasn't able to eat it. His response was, you received hot honey pizza and it's not on all of the slices. I informed him that the hot honey was on both of my pizzas and it wasn't what I ordered. I was really surprised that I didn't receive an apology, credit or refund! I do think their regular Detroit pizza without the hot honey is...
