Marrone's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Haverford Township

Today was the last time that my family and I will ever walk into Marrones. We were greeted with "No tables available, you have to sit at the bar." So we did and it was after an Eagles victory, so of course everyone was in an excited mood; including my son. My son, while being autistic can be sometimes the loudest in the room, that said, he was in fact the loudest person in the room, but was carrying on a respectful discussion about the Eagles with other Eagles fans seated at the bar, who were engaging with my son. The owner or bartender named Patti asked that he lower his voice. He tried, but he just can't to which I just asked for the check, paid promptly and exited. Next time we'll go down the street to Sam's brick oven. The pizza here is very good however and while everything in this review is true, I want everyone to know, who reads this to try and be more respectful and be more accepting of one's differences; especially when it comes to the special needs...

We have been eating and loving this pizza for years. This is my favorite place. The pizza crust is unique and tastes SO amazing. We get double cheese and pepperoni.. which also is wonderful. The hot wings are the best I've had in Philly. The antipasto has that excellent pepperoni also. Now to the atmosphere. It's like dining with family you love. Everyone who has a hand in taking care of you is exceptional and really cares that your experience and food is consistent and great...from Patty the owner to every single worker there. I ordered the small stuffed shells, which includes a side salad and Italian sausage or meatballs. The dish was around $20. Three TINY shells hardly stuffed with ricotta. Seriously, a child-sized portion. They also didn’t have any lettuce for our side salads… Really crazy prices for really subpar food. I grew up down the street, coming here as a child and into adulthood. I thought my return would be nostalgic — more like a total ripoff! Super disappointing.

EDIT (based on “owner” response) The fact that this business spends its manpower fighting with upset customers via Google reviews says everything you need to know about their practices. Pathetic behavior. GO TO PICA’S IN UPPER...
