After reading the positive reviews on yelp. I wanted to have sushi and fried rice. The restaurant is a very cute sushi restaurant. It is nicely decorated, and the ambience is nice. I was greeted by one server. I Sat down served me water provided me with a menu when I walked in. I was the first person to walking into that restaurant during lunch hour. There was already a couple who had already ordered their food and we’re eating so when I place my order for my sushi roll I was so surprised how fast it came back! I was delighted! I requested for some spicy mayo. Within that timeframe multiple people walked in for lunchtime and take out order and the waitress lost track of my spicy mayo for 15 minutes so I sat there not touching my food waiting.

It wasn’t until I had to get up and go to the counter and remind her about the spicy mayo it took another 15 to 20 minutes to get the fried rice. I was not served water on a second time and by the time the food came out I just wanted to go home. I was already upset and wanted to leave. I would say the sushi was really fresh. The fried rice was kind of bland deafly not worth waiting. 30 minutes for will...

An enjoyable experience all around. The food is well prepared, never had meat with any extraneous bits attached to ruin the texture. We enjoyed the Thai, Chinese, and Sushi. A welcome suprise to have pretty even quality throughout. The food is consistent. Having eaten dine in or take out at least 6 times in the last 2 months we can say we were always pleased. I am picky, and just about never leave reviews. But this place deserves my effort because you can tell they put effort into what they offer their customers. The service is very pleasant and attentive. The restaurant is clean and I liked the music, relaxing, good for conversation. It is the old Sola location, a restaurant I would take my wife to back when we were dating. I only tried the current Tao One restaurant because of the reviews. The outside of the building is simple, nothing that has ever caught my attention since Sola closed. But I was happy after popping in for lunch one day, and now it is on our dine out rotation! Also, the pictures must be of them catering events, you do not sit...

Our new go to for Asian food!

We’ve eaten here several times since Tao One opened in April and have enjoyed each meal and entree we’ve had. Daniel, Hannah, and their staff are friendly and attentive and prepare each meal to order. Having spent months at a time in Tokyo my sons and I are certified sushi snobs. Chef and owner Daniel Lin’s selection of fresh fish and preparation of their sushi is always delicious and beautifully presented. The yellow tail with jalapeño, Cajun and Black pepper Tuna appetizers are some of our favorites. The pan fried pork Japanese gyoza are a perfectly prepared version of this Japanese comfort food. Some of our personal highlights from the entrees include the Chinese classic’s General Tso’s and Orange Chicken and the Thai Red Panang Curry and Black Pepper Chicken.

I highly recommend Tao One for your next meal - Excellent food, preparation, service and...

This little restaurant was great for the homey style it offered. It was very calm and small, with a cozy atmosphere that made you feel right at home. The service was great; the staff was efficient and checked on us frequently. I had Mei-Fun noodles, which were delicious, and I loved that they included plenty of vegetables instead of just a few, as other places would have. However, the Crab Rangoon was not what I was expecting at all. It almost tasted like it was made with a distinct taste of artificial crab; it was a bit disappointing. Other than that, the other options were good, and my friends also felt that the soups were great as well. Overall, the prices were great and the portion sizes were generous. The service was attentive and friendly, making for a pleasant dining experience. I can see myself coming back here for take-out.

I ordered takeout for my first visit here. Teriyaki chicken w/ fried rice, miso soup, and side salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. Order was ready quickly. The counter staff was very cordial. I'll definitely return. Update; I've since returned and everything was excellent. Actually think they have the general tso I've had in Lower Merion area yet. Sauce was great and it wasn't that weird textured chicken you get at a lot of Chinese restaurants. The California Tempura roll was great too! Also, the staff whom checks me out is always so cordial and inviting. I'll keep going back to explore the menu. Update: the Massaman curry is delicious but 90% onions and therefore a bit disappointing even for me as I love onions.

First time my husband and I visited this location for a quick bite to eat. Atmosphere & Customer Service was great. Food was a good 4/5 stars. Husband dish had excessive peppers 🌶 (if you enjoy peppers, then you would enjoy the dish he purchased). His lobster 🦞 that came with his dish was basically cut in half, wasn't a full lobster. For the price, we should have received more lobster, scallops & shrimps and fewer peppers. My dish was okay. Nothing was spectacular to discuss 🤷🏾‍♀️ Only that the fries rice should be more tasteful for cost an extra $2 My husband ordered the Seafood Basil I ordered The Happy Family (minus the Roast Pork)
