The treatment I received was disgraceful, and I am afraid I have been the victim of some kind of racist behavior, which I find unacceptable coming from a company like yours. I would like to recount my terrible experience below. My intention was simply to make some photocopies. I first went to the self-service copy machines, and for some unknown reason my USB was not working in either of them. It appears that both machines were out of order, according to one of the two employees present. Until that moment, the treatment had been more or less acceptable, although it is surprising that such a large establishment has only two employees available.
I then asked the young woman that, since the photocopiers were not working, she make the copies for me. She told me that she was unable to do so and that I would have to wait for the other person. When the other person arrived, he took my USB in a very rude manner and asked me to tell him which documents they were. Previously, the young woman had removed and reinserted the USB into the photocopier without any care, and I was concerned that they might damage it, which would have been very upsetting as it contained important documents.
After waiting nearly 15 minutes for just 10 copies and being told that I would be charged, I then witnessed an incident that made me feel extremely uncomfortable: other customers who had arrived after me were attended to first, and I was blatantly ignored in a rather dismissive way. I could not understand why other people were being charged and served before me. I don’t know if it was because of my foreign accent or the fact that my surname had also been misspelled.
When I finally complained to the young woman, asking why several people had been attended to before me, she spoke to me in a curt and unfriendly tone, and afterward the other employee threw the envelope with my photocopies onto the counter. I felt absolutely humiliated and mistreated, for no...
Read moreI had the worst experience ever with the manager, DAVE, inside the store this morning. I went in the store, knowing exactly what I wanted: a HP 6978 printer. I did my research before going to the store, but as soon as I got inside, DAVE tried aggressively to sell me a $700.00 printer that I wasn't interested in. Even after I picked up the printer I wanted from the lower shelf, he continued to tell me that the printer will die on me in 6 months. Now, why will he be selling a printer that he believes will die in 6 months? After I told him I didn't need him, he continued to be in my face, instigating a confrontation. All his associates in the store could not believe him. The incident turned into a shouting match and he didn't even care. I asked for the manager, and he shoved a business card in my face, telling me that's the number to call. It was his business card. I told him I will call his head office and report him, which I will do later. Please avoid the store or at least avoid DAVID. I'm sure I'm not the first customer he...
Read moreI moved here from another state and the Office Depot I used there was nothing like the one in Bryn Mawr. The staff make the store and over the last few years I have been a student mostly making school type purchases.Occasionally I indulge myself with some frivolous electronics and I need help figuring out what goes with what. The staff is great and usually can answer my crazy questions. Once in a while they say "I don't know" and that's way better than some B/S answer that ends up costing money and...
