Main Line Art Center — Local services in Haverford Township

I enrolled my child in a wheel throwing class, hoping for a fun and creative learning experience, but it turned out to be a disaster. The class was integrated with children with special needs, which I fully support and appreciate (especially since I have worked with special needs children for years). However, the teacher was completely unable to manage the diverse needs of the group. My daughter told me that one child was drinking the clay water, another child had her phone in her mouth the whole time and she child was left ignored and disengaged. Sadly, both her and a friend (who felt the same way) only attended two classes making it a complete waste of money. I spoke with someone who said they would speak with the teacher and call me back but I never received a call. The lack of communication was also terrible. I was so surprised by this after reading such positive reviews. EDIT: I am shocked by their response. Shocked. They never called or emailed me back so that is just not true. I'd love for them to show proof of this (which obviously they can't). I ended up emailing them my disappointment a couple of months later and that they responded to in three sentences - just thanking me for providing feedback. At the time, I was hoping they would offer to put my daughter in a different class. I never requested a full refund. The person I called even said she agreed there was an evident safety issue and would address my concerns - which she never did. She never followed up with me. There was a child drinking clay water!! That is the opposite of providing a safe environment as stated in their response. The teacher couldn't handle the class. I am all for an inclusive setting if it's safe space and positive learning experience for all...

This is a fantastic place for artists of all ages to really learn and showcase their artistic skills. My 2 grandsons spent a week Art Camp and had a wonderful time. End of the week was a time to show some very special results from a variety of individuals of all ages. Every segment of the art world appeared to be included in the Art Show.
