I recently had the pleasure of eating at G's Restaurant in Haverhill, MA. I loved everything about it, the atmosphere, the staff, the owners, but I especially loved the food, it was amazing!
The restaurant was very charming, it had a warm and cozy feeling, a good balance of old and new, from all the exposed brick to the beautiful chandelier in the bar and I loved all of the Texas touches! I am originally from Texas so of course I had to have all my favorite dishes. I started with the Queso, so good!!! Words can't describe how good it was, you'll just have to try it. Then I had the Chico's Smoked BBQ Platter, the brisket on the platter was the best I have had since I left Texas. It was juicy, tender and full of smoky good taste! Dessert was banana pudding in a mason jar, and again it was the best I have tasted in years! They had my favorite beer, Shiner Bock, which tastes great with BBQ.
The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the owners, Matt and Denise, were two of the nicest people I have ever met. They were everywhere, helping with tables, at the bar, and personally greeting customers, you name it they did it; great teamwork!
Can't wait to come back again to try everything on the menu, I have found my new...
Read moreListen my mom is almost 70 years old and I don't think I have ever taken her out for dinner somewhere where she loved absolutely everything until now. She didn't have one complaint. When we walked in the door, the atmosphere was so amped, we loved it. There was a DJ with a whole mixing board and everything, if that's what you call that thing. Everybody was having a great time, it was loud but perfect. The drinks were wonderful, we got some fancy drink with an infused strawberry Tito's, that was really yummy. The queso dip came with way more chips really than we needed, but we appreciated that, and they did not get wasted because we took them home. We got the cure burger, we were a little bit sad that there was no brisket left that day, but all is forgiven because the bacon was really good. And we also share the smoked chicken wings, which made me want to go buy a smoker after I left there, so delicious, I like the dipping sauce, but I didn't even really need it that much. And everybody was really nice the service was really fast and good, she had great suggestions. Everything came out timely we had a lot of fun. We can't wait to go back and try...
Read moreWent for bushbuck today. It’s an unassuming small entrance right on Washington street haverhill but goes back so ample sized. Cozy bar up front and high and low tables out back. Mostly all painted black w some nice patio type lights hanging from ceiling. Lively music made it fun. Greeted by nice hostess and seated right away. Our waiter Samuel was very friendly professional and perfectly attentive. Got a couple bloody Mary’s and was appreciative that Samuel asked if we wanted spicy or not (we both don’t like extra spicy). I got the chicken waffles and loved it. Waffle was w cornmeal so lots of texture and kind of crumbly. Chicken was a large pounded piece of breast w some cornmeal on the batter as well.It came with REAL maple syrup, warmed in a little glass jar as well as a little crock of special butter. Ate every hot. Hubby got eggs w brisket hash and loved it. On the way out the owner was near the bar and thanked us for coming which was very nice. Highly recommend. We...
