Giovanni's Roastbeef & Pizza — Restaurant in Haverhill

Always a go-to favorite of mine and I always the get the same sub “American” with lettuce and pickles. There was hardly anything in the sub at all. Tiny portion of meat and maybe 2 small pickles for the entire sub :( Don’t know why they don’t do the diced pickles they used to and I know every location is different but other “ Giovanni‘s restaurants” use diced pickles. People who love pickles are very serious about their pickles! They can make or break it, but simply with hardly any at all that’s a broke meal right there haha. The chicken tenders I got were a sad excuse for chicken tenders. Didn’t have a regular chicken texture like fingers usually do, thick juicy white meat with a nice crisp on the outside! These tenders might as well have been giant soggy chicken nuggs. I was only really disappointed because I haven’t been eating fried foods often anymore so I look at this as a treat once in a great while. Everyone knows when you have an hankering for something you have thought about for more than 2 days, you probably really want and just have to have it! Life is short! Get that food once in awhile. Was too tired to cook tonight and I live alone so i was looking forward to this! Feel like I could have gotten better ones at KFC. Food was over $20 for small sub and small chicken finger and I picked it up. So disappointed. They used to be SO good what has happened? One thing that is usually all consistent with all of their locations is how good the bread is that’s what brought me back there to begin with. Ordered some food here and when it arrived it was covered in sauce and made incorrectly .Called for a new sandwich made correctly and a woman named Trish took my call. She demanded to speak with my wife because my wife "ordered it that way!" It's not even edible it's so soggy. When I told her I wanted another sandwich she started freaking out and yelling at me. I asked for a manager and she told me she didn't have a manager. She kept yelling and interrupting me and then when she would not stop I told her I'd be writing a complaint. She started acting like I said something else and kept yelling "sir are you threatening me?!?" This was to deflect blame from her to me. Got my new sub and it was covered in onions (a chicken parm sub...she added this to my sub I'm pretty sure). If you order and it isn't done right don't complain unless you have time to argue...

I've been going to Giovanni for years (at least once a week) and have always ordered my pizza well done. I was told by cashier at Giovanni's that "well done" = running through oven twice. So thats why today's online order specified "run through oven 2X=well done".

I picked up pizza and arrived home to find "well well well done"or burnt. My dog will not eat the crust, if that gives you any indication of what I picked up. Immediately, called Giovannis and they only said "I'm sorry ma'am thats what you wrote in your order".

They did not agree to deliver a well done pizza so I would continue to enjoy their pizza, sandwiches and salads. Very very very disappointed that they would not agree to a new 13$ delivery. It will cost them in the long run since will not be visiting again. Will have to find a new...
