Staff were rather rude. The cashier consistently rolled her eyes at my grandfather when he couldn’t hear her through her mask. When we came in someone held the door so we couldn’t see the sign that said we couldn’t dine in. As we were from out of state, we didn’t know to check. The stores in PA are back open. My elderly grandfather and handicapped mother sat down, as they quite literally had to. I asked if we could sit in one of the booths that were closed off because we didn’t didn’t see a big enough table and instead of saying we couldn’t dine in they just kept saying no to every table I pointed to. The two employees I was speaking with started going off in Spanish (probably assuming I didn’t understand) and I responded back in Spanish asking where we should sit, not getting an answer back. It took forever to get our food and the whole time I was waiting they were gabbing with an ex employee. I get it. I work retail. I know it’s fun to catch up sometimes, (I absolutely HATE saying this because I hate being that guy) but the customer comes first. We waited a solid half an hour for all of our food. Yes, we were given coupons and apologized to by presumably a manager. That’s why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. I went to sit down with my family (who had started eating) and we were apologized to again and told we couldn’t sit there. It took a minute or two of banter before they finally told us the dining room was closed and there was a sign on the door. My mother asked “just to be clear, you want us to leave.” Because she was still confused, and the manager walked away without answering her. Their communication skills were awful. Upon leaving we saw the sign on the top of the outside door. My mother is short so even if we approached the door when it was closed (which we didn’t, a gentleman was holding it open for us), she still wouldn’t have seen it. I don’t want to come across as a Karen, I’m never that guy, and I almost never review places unless they’re notably bad or good, but this experience was particularly bad. If I lived in this state, I would...
Read moreEdit: I have returned to this McDonald's after the store manager personally contacted me to apologize. It seems like they had new staff and were a lot friendlier than my previous visit. The food was brought out in a timely manner and I hope that I can return again and receive the same service.
I walk in and ask for a ice coffee, just an ice coffee nothing else. I paid for my drink and waited. And waited. Waited at least 5 minutes while people who ordered full meals got their food before me. Finally I speak up to the same person who rang me up and I ask her where is my coffee and her response was, "you ordered a coffee?" I responded yes and asked her what is taking so long. 3 minutes go by and im standing directly in front of the whole crew, none of them making the coffee. I ask who appeared to be the manager why is it taking this long to make a coffee, she responds, "did you order a coffee?" I become aggravated and say "yes" again. She goes through the orders, taking another minute because of all of the orders that were fulfilled before mine and finally finds the single order of the coffee. She asks one of the crew to make the coffee and this person has to ask me again what kind of coffee did I originally order. She finally makes the coffee and gives it to the original person who rung me up. With me standing right in front of her, she makes an announcement, "who ordered the coffee?" I will never again in my life step foot into this McDonald's, it was the worst experience I had in a...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped here on our way home from Maine. When he placed our order (one 10-piece chicken nugget, small fry and drink, one 6-piece tender meal) he paid for the meal and waited for ten minutes before he was quietly told that they don't have chicken tenders. He then said to just make it two 10-piece nugget meals, but the person insisted he pick a menu option of the same price. When my husband reluctantly agreed and looked back at the menu, the person suggested a 20-piece nugget. Fine. At this point, I had actually texted him to be sure he wasn't in some sort of hostage situation because he had been gone for so long. He finally gets back to the car and starts telling me about the miserably slow service and negative attitudes inside only to find that they had forgotten my 10-piece nugget. Now, usually my husband is too kind and overly accommodating to the point that he can be taken advantage of, but whatever chaos going on in this McDonald's, coupled with being hangry from several hours on the road, had pushed him to his limit. He went back in, and as some sort of sad consolation prize they gave him another 20-piece nugget. We finally get to take a bite, only to find that they were absolute rubber. Needless to say, the dog...
