604 Ale House — Restaurant in Hawaii

03/17/2023 update: Still 1 star. Still worse than last time, was given dirty beer glasses that still had old beer in them. Not to mention $18 for a veggie burger ($4 more than last time). Horrible service from a waitress that only had three tables. Had to go to the bar to get new glasses and the check because she was constantly no where to be found and forgetting items (napkins, silverware, etc). How is this place still open?

6/26/2022 update: 2 stars to 1. This place just gets worse and worse. Hot dog buns as bread with the mushrooms? I don't know how they are still open. Unprofessional too, so many typos in the drink menu, hours sign is lopsided, waitress only stopped by once. Had to go to the bar to ask for things. Original review stands, no consistency in literally anything. Food is always different, customer service is pretty bad even when there's only a few tables, and food is overpriced. Original review: No consistency in the menu. The shrimp basket has been three different types of shrimp, same with the salad when adding shrimp. The salads either come with dressing on the side or literally a tablespoon of dressing. Three out of four times the dynamite fries have been missing ingredients. As someone who's worked in Event Services, I was appalled by the lack of professionalism and communication at 604 at Schofield. My cousin's graduation party encountered numerous issues, starting with our discovery that our initial Event Manager no longer worked at the venue. We only learned of this change after visiting the venue days before the event, as they had failed to inform us. Despite multiple attempts to contact the Event Manager in the preceding week, receiving no response prompted our visit to 604 for confirmation.

Despite assurances from the newly appointed manager that they would be present at 12pm for our 5pm event, they arrived at 1:30pm after numerous attempts to reach them. This delay left us scrambling to set up tables, chairs, and linens ourselves, as none were prepared as requested. Despite repeated requests, the venue neglected to remove the extra tables and chairs cluttering the outside space, causing unnecessary hassle throughout the event. Based on our experience, we're unwilling to recommend or consider the 604 Alehouse as a venue in the future. We had a 1st birthday party here before and we had a good experience. We came here for dinner on a Friday after having heard great reviews from peers and our expectations were definitely leveled. The building has a lively feel and the service was really good our waitress was awesome. The appetizers were good and the first pink starburst drink slapped unfortunately the burgers we got did not meet our expectations we ordered medium and they were very mushy/runny and squished out of the bread when you tried to pick them up, next time we would definitely order it cooked medium well and see if that helps. I ordered a drink and it took a bit of a long time to get it and when I did get it it was VERY strong and when we asked to have it remade it took even longer. I re ordered the pink starburst drink and while it was still delicious it was definitely different than the first one I had so I'd say a bit of a consistency problem however the live music was great and out over all experience for a "weekend" was decent we just weren't blown away like we expected to be.
