Los Habaneros stands as a testament to the simple joy of good Mexican food and warm hospitality. It's not just a restaurant; it's an experience that begins with the vibrant flavors of their enchiladas and fajitas, which are nothing short of a fiesta on a plate. The spices sing, the textures dance, and each bite is a reminder of why you came back for more. But what truly sets Los Habaneros apart is the atmosphere. It's unassuming yet cozy, making you feel right at home the moment you step in. The staff, with their remarkable memory for names and knack for friendly chatter, adds a personal touch that turns a meal into a memorable encounter. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, Los Habaneros treats you like family, serving up not just food, but also joy and connection. It's a place where every visit is a celebration of flavors and friendships, old and new. So, if you're in the mood for Mexican cuisine served with a side of heartwarming service, Los Habaneros is your go-to spot.

My wife and I went on a Friday night before our movie. It was a redemption attempt after a 5 year boycott. I agree with the general consensus of the critical reviews: the food (and especially the beans) is bland overall. If you use the salsa the flavor is good, but it's like they are afraid of salt. The service is "meh." The order taker was friendly enough, but the expeditor (who give out the orders) was not friendly at all. They weren't rude to me, but I did observe them give major attitude to another customer for seemingly no reason. They were very busy. The trash was overflowing, but the tables, chairs, walls, ceilings, and what I could see of the food prep area were actually quite clean.

When you walk in, you order your food immediately. Sort of like a fast food place. You pay there and you get seated. I got my food in about 12 minutes. I got the chicken chimichanga ($10.99), the chicken quesadilla ($9.50), the daily special ($10.50), and the flan ($3.99). The daily special had a deep fried crust and had nothing but chicken inside. I believe the chicken could use a lot more seasoning as it was bland. The chicken chimichanga was really tasty. It was loaded with chicken, brown rice, beans and cheese. The chicken quesadilla was good. I felt it was a bit oily. It had a good amount of chicken and cheese. The flan was incredibly tasty. 10/10 would get the flan again.

We ordered a Carne Asada plate. It came out cold. When we inquired about it we were told “ya, if you want it hot you have ask for it that way”. Cook then took it and put in the grill to warm it up then sort of flung the container back at my wife. Really strange stuff and disconcerting. Probably best to avoid this joint - or, have your pepto bismal ready. Fun fact, food needs to be under 40 degrees or above 140 after it’s been cooked to be at a food safe temp. #themoreyouknow! Flavors were good but there are some serious food safety and attitude issues going on. Reading the reviews, I’m seeing some systemic problems here.

OMG Real Mexican Food! The restaurant was clean, the staff was very friendly, the service was fast, the prices were great, and the amount of food we received vs the cost was perfect. ALL in ALL, I definitely recommend this local Mexican eats to anyone who is looking for REAL Mexican food. I initially rate a Mexican food establishment by the taste and freshness of their salsa. BINGO! Frikin awesome. Their hot salsa was a bit salty but still good. Cool atmosphere inside a well.
