Nice place for a burger but overpriced for what you get, although standard for island. We ordered the Kenji burger and the Truffle burger, each with a side of fries. One was regular fries and the other was the furikake fries. Portions are decent but if you’re feeling ravenous, one order may not feel fulfilling enough. At the end of the day, it’s a burger and fries. Nothing truly outstanding. The service and the atmosphere were nice. Being from California, we thought In N Out burgers were more worthwhile in terms of taste. All that to say, now we’re comparing the burgers to that of a fast food restaurant…

The food is phenomenal. I originally imagined that the teriyaki sauce and furikake over the burger and fries would be odd, but this ended up being one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The flavors balanced out with one another, as no flavor overpower another— the choices of the toppings made is nothing short of amazing. The fries were perfectly crispy too, and easily addicting. The backdrop of the mountains were mesmerizing, and the guy who served us was pretty funny and outgoing, in addition to that, the chickens were awesome, they’re super cute and add to the atmosphere.

Not a bad spot to grab a drink and a burger. The burgers are decent. Really flavorful, but a little messy. I should have expected it given it said " Topped in Japanese sauce" My fries weren't crispy which was a bit of a disappointment. The furikake topping was a great flavor profile, but the texture of my fries didn't help. Cocktails were ok. $15 a lil high for Well vodka drink, but not out of this realm. I'd probably check out other burger spots to try on the island before I would return here, but it's not a bad Burger to give a try.

For our last evening on Kauai my partner and I were excited to try this new location (had been open for 2 weeks) for Kenji Burger. When we arrived it was still happy hour so things were looking good. They have a full bar here with plenty of beer options on tap. The large dining area is completely open and fully covered, perfect. You order at the cashier as you enter then grab a table, an order number is placed on the table and they bring the food to you.

The cashier was super nice and informative. I wanted something lite and a beer. She had patience and understanding of the menu items and made it easy for me to decide, no rush. My partner was ordering a burger and fries. The beer was brought to me at the cashier and she poured the fountain drink my partner ordered, she placed a lid on it and provided a straw. Right away some woman that was apparently training the cashier barks at her and says something like we only provide that if they ask. I though it was rude, the cashier was a true gem and handling everything perfectly in my opinion.

We found a table easily and sat down. Right away my lite order of the Taco Trio came to the table. The same woman that had barked at the cashier brought them to the table, sat them down and took the table number away. At this point I thought I’d better keep and eye out for a burger and fry order because we had no number on the table. Sure enough a little time passes and I see the grumpy woman bring a burger and fry order to a nearby customer. He gave it and her a blank stare, a few words were exchanged and she heads back towards the kitchen with the order in hand. So, I think this might be a good time to get up and help by letting her know that we still had food we were waiting for and I pointed back to our table. She was very rude and uninterested, said OK and turned away. I went and sat back down. Of course now I’m frustrated and eat my tacos while there still warm. My partner watches me finish them and decides he’s (understandably) over it. He flags her over our table and of course she’s annoyed. We’re both over it now and he asks her to just refund our money for his order. As you can imagine, she’s not nice about it and could care less about our experience and what might have went wrong. I could go on, it wasn’t a great experience.

We drove back to the Princeville Night Market and had a really good burger at kickshaws808...

Loved every part of our lunch here. Staff was friendly and service was super quick. We got 3 burgers, all yummy, and a veggie roll. I try vegetarian sushi everywhere we go and am usually disappointed compared to what I get at home, but I finally had a roll I will look forward to having again! Love the crunchy bits and pickled daikon—those really add something substantial to a veggie roll and take it from “meh” to “hell yeah!” Also, the furukaki fries were a hit and we liked how they complimented the burgers. Relaxing atmosphere, pleasant music and the breeze was a nice reprieve from the heat. Will be recommending and...
