Trilogy Coffee & Tea Bar — Restaurant in Kauai

Yikes!! What an extremely odd very Un-Kauai vibe this place has! I felt like I was transported out of Kauai into an extremely snooty establishment somewhere that's not here. I would never leave a bad review on that alone but the fact that I stood there in plain sight of all the employees for over 45 minutes waiting for one iced mocha when all of the people that ordered after me had come and gone with their drinks, while no one that work there acknowledged me at all. When I finally asked if my drink was coming the woman said there was still some drinks ahead of me. HUH!! Unbelievable! Paid over $8 plus gave them a $5 tip to stand around for over 45 minutes! WOW! Strange place! They did give me a free coffee coin for next time which will be a gift to someone else that wants to endure this place. I'm definitely never going back! Very cute cafe in one of the ritzier areas of Kauai (the customers reflect this). Nice & friendly cashier. Not so friendly barista. Cashier recommended a coffee spritzer to me and I went with her recommendation. I didn't care for the sparkling coffee drink. So, I asked to switch it to a regular iced coffee with macadamia nut milk. Cashier & owner chatted and decided to give me the drink for free.

Barista didn't even call out my name like she did with the first drink. Just said the name of the drink. When I went to pick it up it was like attitude city with this barista. Clearly she wasn't happy about remaking this drink for me. She also forgot the milk and when I mentioned it, the attitude continued and then she gave me dairy milk instead of what I ordered.

A cute little shop with outdoor seating. The biggest draw here was for my husband with the options with Lion Power Potion (made with Lion's mane mushrooms). They have all sorts of superfood coffees/drinks: Mushroom Milk, Turmeric Coconut Chai, Highlove Superfood Steamer, Witch's Brew (made of Ashwagandha spice blend), and Matcha Latte. They have delicious sounding pastries, a good selection of loose-leaf teas and regular coffee. Admittedly, for me, the coffee and pastry was not anything to warrant a second visit.

The staff were very friendly and coffee and pastries ready in a good amount of time. They have several items for purchase in their shop: coffee making items and their mushroom milk for purchase. They do not have restrooms on site, but there are clean restrooms across the street at the supermarket. Also, a great stop to pickup some Hawaiian snacks and more!
