Kozo Sushi Pearl City — Restaurant in Hawaii

I'd give Kozo zero stars if I could. There aren't many options for sushi in my area on ubereats. I've been a customer for years and have had mostly good experiences (I give them the benefit of the doubt on weekdays when the rolls aren't always as tasty) and have ordered from this location a few times in the past few weeks. I have never had an issue with an ubereats order.

Tonight, my driver asked to verify the order contents twice at pickup, due to the size of the bag, but was told everything was there. Due to restrictions, he's not allowed to open the bag to physically verify. Everything was NOT there. I ordered 8 items and 3 were missing. Ubereats doesn't provide a lot of options and the store doesn't really get involved with the order. I will get a refund of the missing items, but not the delivery cost...which is high for what I got. So, I'm not ordering from kozo ever again. Huge disappointment. Idk if it was laziness or what, but when I called the store, my concern wasn't taken seriously, even though the error was on the store completely. I'll stick with Genki and Kuru Kuru in the future. I wish I could insert the genki...

So, every time I've ordered from here, I used a food app for pickup. It is very convenient and the food is always ready pretty quickly. I recommend their crunchy spicy ahi maki for their rolls and their ikura and masago nigiri. They also have party platters available to order if you'd like to have it for an event. The platters range from just nigiri to only maki rolls and a combination of the two. You can even get the platter for a date night in if you'd like. For cheap, quick sushi that tastes good, they...

Pros- cashier was polite and timely service Cons- although I had paid extra, the cook in the back ensured she was audible enough in regards to she’s only giving me 40grams extra spicy ahi although I paid 4$ extra. Asked for ginger, none was received. The overall taste wasn’t the greatest, I got ahi don and it was 1 third poke and 2/3 of diced cucumbers. I should’ve gone to Foodland instead honestly. 2/10 rating, so it’s doable but I wouldn’t go here...
