L&L Hawaiian Barbecue — Restaurant in Oʻahu

Service experience was very uncomfortable. Site states restaurant's business of operations end at 10pm. We arrived to order at 9:30pm. As soon as we completed our ordering only to be interrupted by the front person saying "take out only okay." I proceeded to make the drinks at the drink fountain disregarding the tone we received. To deescalate any misunderstandings I asked for a towel to clean a drop of soda by the fountain. She then proceeds to gather paper towels from the bathroom and wipe the entire fountain counter. Then grabs my drink and empties it's contents into the garbage to tell me "you put too much inside, you can use another lid. From then on I got the impression that we definitely were not welcomed. She then prepares the bag and states she will not give us any forks. We stand silently and wait for our food to be cooked. Once the plates were assembled I noticed she left just two plastic knives in the bag and plops in on the counter. I grab the bag and tie the end and carry out or food. While leaving the entire crew were behind us leaving at the same time after us to close the store. At that time it was 9:45 PM. I fully understand that we came at time of closing although we definitely did not deserve the worst treatment. They could have stated the kitchen is closed as soon as we entered. I walked in at around 9:56am. Two employees walked in as I’m waiting in the front. One tells me to wait and I said “okay, that’s fine. No problem.” Then another employee walks in after them. Looks at me in disgust, goes behind the counter to tell me “sit down and wait” and she said it twice in a rude manor. I sit down, look up their hours and see they’re not open yet. I felt put off by the attitude I got for literally just standing there in silence and not complaining at all so I left and got food somewhere else. I was completely fine with waiting but the attitude was unnecessary. If you’re not open yet then don’t leave your doors unlocked for anyone to walk in. And when you see people in your restaurant it wouldn’t kill you...

We ordered Mochi chicken but when we got our plate it was totally different. Cashier kept trying to reassure us about the Mochi Chicken but when we showed her our plate it looked like Regular Minute Chicken. she said that mochi chicken looks like that and she has been serving it like that for 18 years.We had no clue what it was. The chicken tasted horrible. They were lazy and did not help us any way. She was even ignoring us when we were trying to come up to her at the counter. Don’t not recommend...
