Sandwich Isle is it for a sandwich on the North Shore. This area of the island isn’t exactly teeming in restaurant options, especially for lunch or something to take to the beach. My friends, Sandwich Isle is the king maker for a delicious sandwich in Princeville. My wife got the Surfer and I got the New Yorker. As a recovering Manhattan commuter, I know a thing or two about sandwich claiming NYC routes. This toasted slab of goodness nailed it. The pastrami was oozing in flavor. My wife got the Surfer and loved it. This is quality stuff. We met the owner, Courtney, the day before just after the shop closed as they are open only for lunch. She told us all about the menu, the local sourcing which is awesome, and invited us to come back tomorrow. She urged us to call our order in to get ahead of the pack. That’s what we did today and when we walked up, our order was just being finalized. Courtney was so welcoming. She’s proud, justifiably so, of her shop. Just a delightful little place! So worth a stop or two. A note on pricing - A) it’s a food place in Princeville, not a Circle K next to the Greyhound station in Barstow. You’re on an island. In the middle of the ocean. B) This is not Subway. So enjoy the sandwich.

Go here. You won’t regret it. For starters, the food is absolutely wonderful. My family shared three sandwiches and everything about them was completely perfect and mouthwateringly delicious. Although my family has just touched the tip of the iceberg when it comes to their menu, I’m sure the rest is absolutely spectacular. Everything was clearly made with lots of care and love, and I can’t wait to come back for more. On top of the five star food, the service was unmatched by any restaurant I’ve ever been to. Courtney (the owner) was an absolute angel and served everyone with so much kindness and respect. She was extremely helpful yet honest throughout the entire process—from recommendations for our orders to giving advice about other restaurants around the island, she had every intention of making sure we had the best possible experience. Thank you for the amazing service and sandwiches, we’ll be back!

This place is absolutely great. Their sandwiches are large and delicious. This is a must visit sandwich shop with a GREAT owner and very friendly staff!!!. We actually ate here twice. The second time we ate here it was after a morning at the beach, and we preordered on our way home. I have tasted the New Yorker and the Philly. Both were the best. The grandkids ate all of their peanut butter & Guava Jelly sandwiches on the first round, and Isle Club on the second... Will do again when I get back to the Island.

Wow… What can I say about this place but pure excellence. I put a order in during the busy time at lunch for a large order, and the lady on the phone who ended up being the owner, was so polite, and so calm with my request, even though it was asking a lot for the time I needed the sandwiches being done. She gave me an estimated time of 40 minutes, I showed up 20 minutes after getting off the phone and they were just finishing up the order. So a huge shout out to the staff working their butts off to ensure my order was complete. When I got there, the owner, who was running the phones, and the cash register, was beyond polite to every single customer, including myself. Customer service goes a very long way, quality products go even the longer way, and they nailed both of them. So thank you so much and no wonder why they have such good reviews. This is a top notch sandwich shop that I will recommend to anyone coming through Kauai. If I could give more stars,...

The service was bad. we walked away before trying the sandwich. We stopped there in the afternoon. There was no customer before us. We orders 14 sandwiches take out. The young boy took the orders. After taking the order he asked the staff if they wanted to make 14 sandwiches or not. The staffs (more than 2 persons in the kitchen) responded unhappy that they would make them if we could wait for 40 minutes to one hour. We agreed, but the boy said there would be 20% tip adding into the total because we order more than 6 sandwiches. We were big group, but we were from different families. We told him that each family would order separate for the kids first because they were hungry. He yelled out that we were cheating. we want to order separately, because we don't to pay 20% tip. We are tourist, we don't know that we need to pay 20% tip for sandwiches take out in Hawaii. I will contact Hawaii Island to confirm about...
