Uncle D's Kauai — Restaurant in Hawaii

Hobbled into Dustin's place to pick up some plastic circles to toss while I was on the island. Didn't bring my own along as I was still on crutches with a busted leg and wasn't sure if I'd be able to play. The universe definitely guided me to the right spot! Dustin was so welcoming and helpful in locating the molds I wanted to throw. Great conversation, awesome pro shop, and mouthwatering BBQ. It was a Friday when I popped in so I was fortunate enough to try the brisket mac bowl. Tender, smokey, savory brisket atop a rich bed of mac & cheese. Got me all juiced up and I was able to push through and play Mauka in Princeville, Lydgate & WeliWeli before my adventures concluded. Even met an awesome dude (Brian) from the same small village I'm from in Buffalo NY and his friend Chris at my first stop leaving D's shop at Lydgate Park. Wouldn't have had that amazing, welcoming experience to play with them if I hadn't geared up at Uncle D's first. Everything in it's right place. Thank you...

I cannot recommend Uncle D's enough! I came to Kauai on vacation thinking the disc golf scene would be slim to nothing, and I surely did not expect to stumble upon a shop like Uncle D's. While I cannot speak to the food/drink served here as I didn't order any, I was happily surprised by the selection of discs & other gear. Uncle D was happy to assist in pointing out all of the different discs he had for sale including his custom-printed ones, one of which I couldn't help but pick up. Ever since I tried this place a couple weeks ago I’ve gone and ordered the exact same thing every single time I’ve had errands in Lihue. It’s the brisket. It’s ridiculous. It’s so tender it dissolves. And I’ve always hated BBQ so we accidentally found this place when the sushi place I wanted to go to was closed and my husband said he wanted to try this place. He got the Philly cheese steak which is 99% as good as the brisket. I get cole slaw and Mac salad as sides and they’re both good. And I want to try a macaroni boat but I’m scared it won’t be as perfect as the brisket and I’ll regret it. No pictures because I can’t look at it...
