Gambino's Pizza — Restaurant in Hays

I would give this place 0 stars after my experience today the place is rude and expensive. $45 for 2 adults and 2 children.. Asked if they could make a calzone bc the one sitting had an inch of butter on the tray and was just melted cheese. The guy said "oh they are buttery" I said could you do one that's not mushrooms and peppers..they made one and it was all mushrooms and bbq sauce and slop (on purpose) so then they finally had one with meat and peppers after sitting for 45 mins my family was done eating. So I grabbed a box and put 4 pieces of the calzone in it to take with me. The guy came up and took the box away and said I could not take it to go.I said you do a to go buffet and I'm taking 4 slices of a calzone. He grabbed the box and threw it in the trash. Won't give them our business anymore! Our friends and I used to spend atleast $40 in there once a week! No more! Place is rude and have crap pizzas that don't accommodate kids or picky eaters either! Salad bar is always half rotten and empty too! And thing is they take your money and just don't care! Please someone open a new pizza buffet in Hays!! Do yourself a favor and go...

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!!!!!!!! I ordered pizza recently online (I work in the emergency department and we were busy and hungry). The first order didn't go through, I received a message that said there was a problem and to order again later (no confirmation page or order # given). I waited a few minutes and ordered again and it did go through with the normal confirmation page/order number. I realized when the pizza was ready to be delivered that I had two confirmation emails (the first order had indeed gone through). I called them immediately with this and they said they would remove one of the charges. I called them 5 days later since both charges were still showing in my bank account and explained what happened and they said they would correct this. The manager readily admitted the online ordering system does this often. Well, it has now been well over two weeks and I haven't been refunded anything. I can’t give more than three stars, because my wife and company and myself were not very overwhelmed with this location. I have been to Gambino’s before, and the pizzas were great. But this time was during a lunch buffet, and the buffet offerings did not include hardly any pizza that did not have meat, and if you could not have pork you would see no pizza available for you other than cheese pizza. We decided to order from the menu and the fresh pizzas that came out were good, but average. Sadly, the music was a wee bit irritating. There didn’t seem to be too much traffic in the restaurant. Admittedly, we were eating right after 1 PM. Still, has me wondering if this is the reason why the Victoria and lacrosse locations closed. If Gambinos can make changes to improve, I will change Rating. I am not trying to be harsh to this company, as their location and staff are great! You may not find these problems at all, or they may not concern you, and in which case eat...
