Well, this is unfortunate.
Domino's has served my family well in the past, with satisfactory pizzas and proper service.
But this time, our requested delivery had went horribly wrong, with seemingly lazy service and one wait too long.
This franchise is located within less than two miles from me, but somehow, our pizza delivery man Marco decided to show up more than an hour late to our place...
We ordered around 5:30 PM, and it usually took about an hour every time we ordered (even on evening weekends, like now), so we expected our pizza to arrive by 6:30 PM or so.
It was already 6:45 PM, no pizza man in sight, maybe they're extra busy tonight? We call the store just to check in, but no response... Repeated calls, none seemed to go through.
Oh, perhaps their phones are down. Forgot to pay the phone bill, haha.
Anyways, that was relatively the same time when we were notified via text that "MARCO" was driving to our place. Finally, our order! And so we patiently waited the average ten minutes that it should have taken to arrive.
Hm, 7 PM, no Marco in sight. How strange! Maybe traffic is bad tonight. Could there have been some kind of accident? God forbid our pizza was involved...
And then there he was. 7:45 PM. Marco! Let's see, he had to travel 1.4 miles by car from Domino's to our place, and he struggled through 45 minutes...
An average speed of 1.867 miles per hour! Amazing! He could've jogged the length and probably made it sooner!
Sadly, we did not take the pizza. We already had dinner.
Interestingly enough, Marco didn't seem sympathetic regarding the entire event. Maybe he was just too worn out to care, who knows.
Now, I wonder if Domino's will even notice this. Probably not. But I know that you, Mr. or Ms. Review-Reader, are reading this.
A star for the past, another star for...
Read moreOrder was for delivery - estimate of delivery window was 24 - 54 minutes. Took about an hour and a half. When I called and asked about my order they said the time estimater was never right - why have one then?!?!? When pizza arrived they had screwed the order up - was supposed to be Hawaiian with no peppers and mushroom and olives on the right side only. Pizza was covered in peppers and the few mushrooms and olives were all over the pizza (good thing there were only a few as it made it easier for the hubby to pick them off)!! The garlic nugget thingys were good but not good enough to make me order from here again. I also gave delivery instructions with the walk in gate code. Got a call from the delivery guy (English was obviously not his first language) who was sitting in the drive way telling me there was no place to enter the gate code! I tried to tell him to park and use the walk through gate but he did not get it. I had to walk out to the gate to get the food that I paid a delivery fee for and I added the tip in when I ordered the food!! Bad pizza, bad delivery service = no more of...
Read moreThis is the best, cheapest dinner or meal out there! In combination with the Domino's app or web site and the awesome variety of coupon available and you will undoubtedly agree. My favorite is the $7. 99 "Order Online & Carryout" Large 3 topping pizza. For a single person like myself this is the perfect dinner at an exceptional price! Some might argue about the inconvenience of having to pick it up. However, I would fiercely argue that getting that pizza straight out of the oven and in to your mouth almost so quickly that you have to stand down a minute to let this über-fresh, delicious pizza cool a bit is worth the pick-up EVERY time.
But as important is the value of the meal is the friendly, upbeat and always efficient staff. They are always both engaged and engaging and seem to enjoy what they do, where they work, AND the customers they serve. Their positive attitudes and sincerity keep me coming back - to this Dominos location specifically - on a regular and consistent. basis. I love this place!
And you...
