New York Pizza — Restaurant in Hayward

Edited because they had my original review taken down. A few months ago, I called in an order at 3pm for delivery at around 6 pm. I ordered 3 large and 1 cheese, wings, and salad for a party we were having later that night. The delivery driver showed up at 340pm. I told him I'm so sorry, but no one was home and that we wouldn't be ready for the food until 6pm. He was trying to pressure me to take the food. I kept explaining to him it wouldn't be any good 😕 He took it back and then at 6ish showed up again with the same exact order which looked like it had been sitting under a lamp. When I called and explained this to the lady, she was extremely rude and said she could not refund me, she would just send a free cheese pizza. Like, what? I spent well over a hundred dollars and you send my order 3 hours early, then leave it sitting then bring it back?? Hella weird! Give me my money back! Kept insisting i just take the free cheese pizza, wouldn't give me a manager or any other number- I kept refusing. Then a doorbell ring and it's the same delivery driver with a cheese pizza i didn't want! Then he tells me not to say anything but he admitted that they did send me the old food.

I have been ordering from this pizza place for 20 years. The past few months my service has been awful. The pizza has been dry and over cooked. It takes forever to get my order. Tonight was the final straw. I work nights so I ordered pizza for the kids to be delivered. I was told 45 minutes, fine paid for the pizza went back to work. My youngest calls me an hour and a half later and says thank you for the pizza. I immediately called my daughter to ask when it got there she says about 10 minutes ago. So I call New York and they said you should have called when your pizza was not there. I told him I was at work but that doesn't mean that it was okay that my pizza was 45 minutes late. He continued to say there was nothing he couldn't do since I didn't call sooner. He said next time I ordered he would take $5 off my pizza. Really. Not once did he apologize or acknowledge any wrong doing. You just lost a long time customer. Have to find a new...
