I had the pleasure of dining at Susie Q’s Pizza recently, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The owner of the establishment greeted us with a warm smile and a friendly demeanor. She is not only incredibly sweet but also quite humorous, ensuring our visit was enjoyable and memorable.

We decided to order a medium pastrami pizza to share between my wife and me. The pizza arrived perfectly cooked, with a generous amount of toppings that left us more than satisfied. We only managed to eat half before packing up the rest to take home, and I must say, it tasted just as delightful the following evening. The flavors held up beautifully, making for a perfect leftover meal.

One of the highlights of our meal was the sauces. We tried two: the Susie Q sauce, which was nothing short of excellent, and the garlic honey sauce, which was equally delightful. These sauces were the perfect complement to the pizza, enhancing each bite with their unique flavors.

The bread dough used for the pizza was truly mouthwatering. The quality of the dough reminded me of the bread my Palestinian mother used to make, but in the form of pizza rather than manakeesh. It was a nostalgic experience that added a personal touch to our meal.

The atmosphere inside and outside the restaurant is welcoming and comfortable, creating a relaxing dining experience. The interior is clean and well-maintained, and the decor is inviting. They have live games and other entertainment options on their TV, adding to the enjoyable ambiance.

The restroom facilities were clean, and the restaurant offers an impressive selection of drinks. I chose a glass soda and a glass guava drink made by Jarritos, both of which were excellent. The variety of drink options is a testament to the establishment’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and satisfying dining experience.

Although I didn’t try any of the sweet treats this time, I noticed they offer a wide array of dessert options. I initially planned to stop for just a slice, but I left with a whole medium pizza and a newfound appreciation for real quality pizza in the heart of the Bay Area.

Wow the pizzas here are actually pretty tasty. We finally tried this spot a few weeks ago and were impressed with the quality and taste of the pizzas. I ordered online for a pick up on a weekday lunch. For a medium Susie supreme pizza (thin crust), it came out to about $33 after tax. Quite steep, but wanted to check it out anyways. It's located Hayward downtown, with plenty of street parking. On the corner of a block with really flashy blue paint on the outside and a huge colorful sign. You really can't miss this spot if you drive by.

Pick up was fast - got the pizza and left. The worker was super friendly and offered us plates/etc. The pizza wasn't too thin, but it wasn't thick like regular pizza dough. It was able to hold up the cheese and toppings without getting soggy or falling all over the place. I kind of wish there were more toppings, but it was just enough. Tasty pizza that is memorable, but the price is quite steep and keeps us hesitant from coming back more often, but we will come back again another time.
