I admit, I came in around 10 pm looking for a room, but things started off bad with the front desk staff. When they ran my credit card, the receptionist wanted me to tell him the PIN instead of letting me put it in myself. And even better, right next to the front desk was a warning sign informing you the building would expose you to toxic chemicals that will cause cancer (Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate).
Getting to my room wasn't much better. The first thing that I noticed was the room reeked of booze. As I walked in, I tripped over the unlevel flooring. On the floor, poking out from under the bed, was a used coffee lid. I knelt down to look under the bed, and realized the floor was damp, which probably explained the smell of booze. But under the bed was even more trash than just the coffee lid. The wall paper was peeling in numerous places, and missing in others. Everything was dusty. The room had no A/C. The toilet ran all night long. And anywhere there was metal, it was rusty. The smoke detectors were held in place by wads of tissue paper, and I'm not even certain there were batteries in them (there were no lights indicating they were powered as there usually are). Electrical plugs were popped out of their sockets and dangling. And there were exposed water pipes leading into the bathroom. I'll be honest, the sheets may have been nice, but I'll never know, because given the state of everything else, I never built up the courage to pull back the comforter and look.
This was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed. I've never written a review for anything before, because it typically takes a lot to bother me. But this was...
Read moreHorrible worst place to ever go they stole my money and claimed that it was because I stole a towel when in actuality I didn't steal any Towels didn't use their towels except for one which haf been used to clean up some water that has been spilled by my son all the towels were still hanging on the shelf in the closet where they were put by the maid didn't have any pictures of the room that said it was dirty or towels were missing yet the manager charged me $70 after I had already checked out and into my normal hotel I literally stayed there one day and woke up late even though I ask for a late check-out used the bathroom and took a shower about 30 minutes later while taking my shower the manager showed up and told us we couldn't rent the room for another night and that we needed to get out or he was calling the police he told my children this considering I was in the shower and all I heard was yelling which made me come out to see what was going on. he was also upset because even though me and my husband and my two children were spending the night there I had gotten my two nephews and my stepson earlier because I was taking them to Chuck-E-Cheeses which is the reason why I had gotten that room so we could be close an able access it easily never would I return here and I'm still fighting them on them taking my money the landlord was just upset and that is why he stole my money if I can I will be...
Read moreProperty location is probably one where you would stay only if visiting someone who lives in area. Recommend booking online (even last minute or while you are in lobby) as rates are lower than offered if you walk-in. There is a $200 charge assessed to credit card also that is refunded when room is checked out to make sure no damage or stolen items. It is 4 stories and when I stayed on February 19th elevator was out of order; there is also a second building that looks like it is two floors. Was on 3rd floor and could hear people tromping around in room above me. Room has microwave and refrigerator and dated furniture, with the exception of rust along top of tiles in shower/tub room seemed to be clean. An extra blanket would have been nice but heater was sufficient. Trash truck does come early in morning (unknown schedule) and could late at night hear traffic on Foothill. Breakfast is minimal and no place to sit in lobby, there is an IHOP within walking distance and a donut shop across the street that while not the cleanest, donuts are good. Wi-fi was a bit slow, adequate selection of television channels. Would say people running it make an effort but property is...
