"Crumbl" cookies has consistently been an utter disappointment in terms of taste and texture. I assure you that most positive reviews of this cookie distributor are just because Helena does not receive new stores very often. Firstly the texture: for being named crumbl these cookies are more likely to sink into themselves. Every. Single. Cookie, has a slimy interior, it's as if they have pioneered a revolutionary technology that allows them to barely harden the outside while leaving the inside of the cookie completely raw, or maybe their oven is just broken. If you sliced the cookie on two sides you could look through them with pristine clarity due to how undercooked and greasy they are. Through unfortunate happenstance I have been gifted these cookies multiple times, I wouldn't even waste your time on these if they were free, but unfortunately they are exorbitantly overpriced. The one good thing they have going for them is the variety, but even that is a mute point because every single cookie tastes the same. The only difference you can taste is the toppings, but this magic dough they use seems to over power most flavors.
In summary, while crumbl offers a large variety of flavors, the almost raw, greasy, slimy texture and the boring, uninspired, monotonous chore of flavor every cookie has, consumers should refrain from eating these cookies even if they are...
Read moreI'd heard a lot of positive things about Crumble Cookies, so I was excited to treat my son with one of their cookies. The first observation about Crumbl is that each cookie is so HUGE that they are packaged in a small bakery box! These cookies are big enough to share. They are also expensive. Plan on spending $5 per cookie.
We went through the drive-thru, so I can't comment on the atmosphere. The server working at the window was personable and upbeat. The aroma of baking cookies wafting through the window was also a pleasant experience.
My young adult son chose an oatmeal cookie, which had a small scoop of vanilla icing as a garnish. His treat definitely offered the better taste and texture of our 2 choices, for he enjoyed every bite. We both found our cookies to be more cake-like than crisp. My chocolate cookie was dry and relatively flavorless - it was so disappointing that I didn't finish eating it.
To me, Crumbl Cookies provide the same mystery as other food businesses that have a cult-like following, such as Starbucks Coffee or Cinnabon. I've tried them but don't find the products offered to be worthy of returning...
Read moreWe have been to other Crumbl locations in Utah, and we were so disappointed with the Helena location when we finally went in to get some cookies. They had only 3 types of cookies available (chocolate, peanut butter, or chocolate chip), only 1 of which was frosted. That is not how the locations in Utah work, but I suppose the Owners of this location figure that this will be good enough for Montana. We asked if the other unfrosted cookies could be frosted and were told "No, that is how they come." We were buying cookies for a birthday, but left as we could buy plain peanut butter cookies at nearly any grocery store for a lot less than 5.00/cookie (for the small cookie). We have no need to return to...
