I was ordering from Overland Express Restaurant and Lounge and I was waiting on the phone for about 10 minutes or so, when I was finally connected to a host they were rude over the phone and unpleasant to talk to, fast forward to when we get to the Restaurant at approximately 6:45, I had my son go in to get the food after he heard his mom being disrespected on the phone, we got the food and when my son got to our car we checked our order to find out they did not prepare my son's Roy Rogers which he loves so he had to go back in the restaurant which he had no problem doing, this host whom I am assuming is the bar tender was told about the issue with the drink and the bar tender looked at my son and scoffed at him, when we were finally able to get home after two trips into the Restaurant, we checked our food and I had ordered a three piece chicken tender meal with fries and a Roy Rogers (with 3 cherries) and not only did they not add the cherries we politely requested they gave us a very very leaky cup which made my car cup holder sticky, and so we checked our food as soon as we got into the house we saw two tiny chicken tenders that were BURNT!!!!! and very very tiny, with over cooked fries, then we called the Restaurant Manager, Zane, he requested for us to bring the food back for inspection after we spent our hard earned money on this place we have had food at before and we live across town so traveling back to the restaurant is nearly impossible in the traffic we experienced. Zane then informed us that we could bring back the food and he would remake our order and give us a free desert...Zane was INCREDIBLY RUDE and awful over the phone! My Family will not be back! Read moreThis was absolutely delicious! My ultra picky 13 yo had buffalo chicken strips. They were humongous! The sauce was spicy and had flavor. The steak fries were perfectly cooked. He voted we eat there Everytime we go out. My other son had the Philly steak with steak fries. Again perfect amount of meat, sauteed onions and bell peppers, melted cheese (maybe a little more cheese?). He ate every bite and used the side of au jus to dip his sandwich for extra flavor. My husband had the mushroom burger. There was a ton of mushrooms with cheese melted over the top to keep the mountain of mushrooms from falling off. Once more he ate every bite and was surprised at how good it was and how many mushrooms there were. I had prime rib. It was a perfect medium rare with a ton of flavor. Came with a side of horseradish as the perfect complement. I also had a salad and rice pilaf. The rice pilaf tasted freshly made down to the grated carrot and pieces of celery. The waitress was amazing and made sure to check in on us. She was incredible when the little girl behind us spilled her water. No annoyance, sympathy and a quick cleanup. Read moreTo begin I'll say that for the most part the food is pretty good!! Shane does pretty good with daily specials, however I feel as if the prices are a bit high. Now onto the reason for the low review which is due to the treatment of some of the employees! I can't with my whole being get behind a business that was described often as a family yet NOT only did they demote someone that has given DECADES to the business, but also dropped their pay SIGNIFICANTLY!! This action then put someone in charge that almost ran it into the ground forcing the owner, which is also his father out of retirement to save the business. I've been hearing for as long as I can remember that the owner wants to sell yet when he had a buyer that was motivated to buy for MANY months, the owner ruined that. So, I CAN'T endorse the treatment of those employees by giving a higher review. Not to mention, I know of one employee that has been there a very long time and has gone in to work on EVERY holiday yet WITHOUT holiday pay. Wrong!!
