Adelita's Mexican Restaurant & BAR by the lake — Restaurant in Helendale

We’ve eaten here a few times, the food is ok the drinks aren’t bad. I think what kills it for me here is I wanna go there on fridays and they do karaoke on fridays. This is just my opinion but any restaurant that does karaoke or dj’s is failing as a restaurant. It’s just a desperate attempt to make money because your food isn’t doing it. I like the people that work there and the food and drinks are ok, not great but edible but I just wanna go in and have a bite to eat a few too many drinks going into the weekend but instead I have to eat a meal while trying to have conversation with my wife or friend and I’m unable too because the crap music it to loud. It’s like you wouldn’t eat at a dance club so why have a club like environment in a restaurant. Anyways just my two cents. The food is great! But I’ve been here multiple times and have been treated poorly every time. I don’t understand why they seem so irritated by me, but I really was so surprised by the way the treated me and my husband. We still came back, but the experience never got better. The last visit we had there, I actually left without ordering food, and just paid for my drinks and headed down the street to Los Amigos where they were nice, and the food was great. I have hearing damage and the staff refused to accommodate this in anyway.

I asked them to turn down the music "just a little bit", but they refused to even after knowing I am hard of hearing. I sat there the entire meal unable to hear any of my family.

Anyone with a disability knows how being limited due to it can make you feel helpless.
