So I wished I could have given a full 5 stars but I'll tell you why. I was super excited to try this place out finally btw Walked in and greeted so nicely! The place was clean and very well kept. We ordered and it was so easy. I got my order, I got a basic, filled and then minis. I was disappointed at my first bite of the minis, they were hard. Super chewy like almost plastic vibes not fresh at all. And the filling to dip was half filled and also old, there was dried coconut filling on the outside of it. I bought the plain and filled ones for coworkers and they were warm and fresh and they said delicious! Being the fact I have already been to Hawaii and had these before, I am super disappointed. Now what absolutely killed me, when waiting, they walked out of the back thru the front door with a HUGE trash bag of donuts and throwing them away! I know Hellertown is a small town so why waste when you could easy donate to places? So would I go back, maybe. Was it a great experience to try, yes. Just highly disappointed for my first time.

After so many suggestions, I was finally able to find a minute and stop in to Aloha Jay’s in Hellertown. I did not get the chance to meet Jay, but the girl at the counter was very friendly and understanding when I said I want a breakfast sandwich and I don’t want to have to try and pronounce it 🤣. So this sandwich is … really friggen good. Creamy scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, scallion, and a hash brown on a Malasada with sriracha aioli and a sweet cream drizzle. This was absolutely the creamiest breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. The texture of the eggs was awesome, and the bacon being chopped up throughout was really nice because it was far easier to eat than having to chew through full slices and break them up. The sriracha adds a really pleasant dimension and flavor and the Malasada was a nice change of pace, no matter how much I love a fresh Kaiser roll. I’ll definitely be back to try the sweet Malasada’s and the burger they’re doing for lunch now but I will say for now that Aloha Jay’s absolutely - Didn’t Suck!

Nestled in the heart of Hellertown, PA, the Best Malasadas Donuts is a culinary gem that truly lives up to its name. With its prime location on Main Street, it's impossible to miss the warm and inviting glow of this unique donut haven. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted with the mouthwatering aroma of freshly made malasadas and the friendly smile of the owner, whose passion for perfection is evident in every aspect of the shop.

The malasadas here are like no other. Each donut is meticulously crafted to perfection, boasting a light, airy texture with a perfectly crisp exterior. The balance of sweetness is just right, making every bite a delightful experience. Whether you choose the classic sugar-coated version or one of their inventive filled varieties, you're in for a treat that will leave you craving more.

The owner, a true artisan in the world of pastry, has created an atmosphere that is as warm and welcoming as the donuts themselves. His dedication to quality and customer satisfaction shines through, making every visit a memorable experience. The care and attention to detail are evident not just in the malasadas, but in the overall ambiance of the shop. From the charming decor to the excellent customer service, it's clear that this is more than just a business—it's a labor of love.

What sets the Best Malasadas Donuts apart is its uniqueness. In a world full of cookie-cutter donut shops, this place stands out with its authentic approach and commitment to excellence. Whether you're a local or just passing through, a stop at this Hellertown gem is a must. The combination of prime location, outstanding donuts, and an amazing owner makes it a destination worth seeking out.

In short, the Best Malasadas Donuts is a slice of heaven in Hellertown, PA. Don't miss out on this exceptional donut experience—you won't find anything like it anywhere...

I don't doubt these Hawaiian donuts are great. Reviews are great. Unfortunately, we never got an opportunity to try them. We showed up at 10:30 and were told it would be 20 minutes till any were available. OK. No problem. After 20 minutes someone came from the kitchen area and said it would be another 5 minutes for people already waiting for their placed orders. No problem. 10 minutes later everyone waiting was told it would be ANOTHER 45 minutes. The folks who were already waiting for their placed orders still were waiting. What? Are you flying them in from Maui? The business has only been open 3 plus weeks and I understand there are growing pains. But come on. We'll definitely return as the reviews we've heard are terrific. I can only give 3 stars because 1 wouldnt be fair and anything higher wouldn't be based on the products. Looking forward to actually eating a few.

UPDATE: A assortment of a dozen were delivered free of charge to our home by Aloha Jay's. He apologized and explained the issues they were experiencing today. Although the gesture was unnecessary, it was appreciated. Needless to say, we tore into the box (still warm) immediately! They did not disappoint. Our favorite was the Cinnamon Sugar. Light, not heavy and very tasty. Quality item. I can't think of many businesses that would have gone to these measures. It shows the level of belief and dedication in their product. The 5 star was more than earned....

Wanted to update my review - met the owner I believe and although the food and atmosphere seems to bring island vibes, he did not possess the true aloha spirit. He is not Hawaiian, but even though he isn’t didnt matter. The fact that I complimented his malasadas and said I purposely come out of my way when I am from out of town, he did not seem interested to make conversation, nor thank me for my business. I bought my husbands team (district manager for a cellphone carrier) a dozen along side my own Dozen, spending over $70, and having conversation with me seemed like pulling teeth. While he seemed more interested in flirting with a random woman / customer. Oh did I mention his mother seemed more interested that I am actually married to a Hawaiian? This is probably what happens when you try to meet people Ina little borough of Pennsylvania who doesn’t get out much or self absorbed that his donuts are doing better than Dunkin next door. I won’t be coming here anymore or recommending it to anyone. I’ll take my business elsewhere. Other staff was great except him. He should just stay in the back if he’s not going to be friendly...
