Walked in, everything was fine. Placed our order and still everything was fine. This lady yells out the name that we placed on our order and I went to go pick up my food. This is where I noticed that this woman was touching all the food with her bare hands, no gloves and not washing her hands in between meats and veggies. I get to my table with the trays of food and realize that one of the burgers was made wrong. It was a pretty simple burger order. A bacon cheese burger with avocado. No veggies, no mayo. The burger had the meat, bacon, cheese, avocado, all the veggies AND mayo. I go back and try to ask her if my order can be fixed and she completely ignores me. I walk to the front counter and ask the young gentleman and he asks to move to the kitchen. She comes back to tell me that on the receipt it says that it had veggies and no mayo with avocado added. Even if that is what the receipt says... the order was made wrong. I explain to her that basically it was only the meat, cheese, bacon and avocado. Nothing else. Once again she insist that I’m wrong. She was extremely upset that she removed the top part of the burger with the meat, cheese and bacon then threw the basket with everything else into the trash. Over 4 ft away. The picture attached is the aftermath. She then just grabbed a bottom bun, put avocado in a little paper boat, threw veggies on the side and handed me back the the burger. ONCE AGAIN, the order was wrong.
My concerns... Cross contamination. Why isn’t she washing her hands? Why isn’t she wearing gloves?
Why so much anger? I kindly asked if my order could be remade or fixed.
The owners and or management should really look into this lady and how she treats people and how she handles the food. I know I’m not the first to say something about it. Wanting to call someone about how she is handling the food. Definitely not complying with...
Read moreHorrible. From beginning to end. First, we ordered 2 beers along with the rest of our order but were charged for a bucket of beer instead (this took at least 10 minutes to correct, meanwhile the kids were already starving from being at Sea World all afternoon). Second, my wife can't have dairy for health reasons so ordered the grilled chicken WITHOUT cheese but it came back with. We waited a long time for our food so she opted to scrape it off instead of having them fix it. Lastly, my son and I ordered 2 double cheeseburgers since we hadn't eaten any real food since early in the day (Sea World food is too expensive and not very good) but got 2 bacon cheeseburgers instead. The problem with my wife's food distracted me from looking at mine and my sons. We decided rather than wait even longer for a corrected order we would just eat what we got and snack at home if still hungry. We are NOT the type to complain, my wife works in the food service industry and I work retail so we both LOATHE those types BUT felt that we needed to voice our complaints to the manager. After looking at the actual order the cooks had to go by, they explained that the order taker DID make a mistake by writing "bacon" instead of "double" and the cook added cheese when the order stated no cheese.....and that's it. No apology, no offer to make amends.....NOTHING. Just a statement that there WAS an error followed by a blank stare......seriously?!? We only tried this place because of a Groupon but will NOT be back. Bobby J's Burgers just down the road or even the Sonic next door (on a cheap night) will be getting all of our close to home burger business from now on. Bobby J's burgers are REALLY good BTW and staff...
Read moreCame here on a gloomy Sunday evening with my wonderful dinner companion - my girlfriend. Greeted by a wonderful smiling face by the gal at the front register. She was polite, knowledgeable about the menu, patient, and friendly. Though much like myself at that age - totally oblivious to how her career ahead in food service would shape her outlook on life in the future because she mentioned she had just started this job.
I used to come here with my dad in the early 2000s and the decor hasn't changed. Which I guess is okay?
The food: I had the bacon cheeseburger (and added mushrooms - which was a GREAT choice). And my girlfriend opted for the classic cheeseburger (with mustard - yuck). And we split a basket of sweet potato fries which was the perfect serving size for two people.
The burgers basically FLEW out from the grill. Hot off the press, seasoned wonderfully, cooked perfectly and not to mention the size of hubcaps off of a 87 Lincoln Town Car. The bacon was crispy and mushrooms nice and tender. The burger wasn't too greasy but had a little more salad than I typically like with mine.
My girlfriends classic cheeseburger can be summed up in 5 words. She ate the whole thing. And I tell you, that speaks for itself. That is her seal of approval.
All in all would like to see a little better beer selection in the cooler but, will...
