I decided to try a Chinese restaurant closer to work. This was my first and last time ordering from here. I placed my order on their website. I went to pick it up. They must use Door Dash for their online orders because he said, "oh, it's Door Dash" like that was a problem. I asked if there was a different way I should order and he said to call. So I took my food and left. I got back to my office and opened my lemon chicken lunch to find no sauce....that is what makes it lemon. I call back to the restaurant and I tell them that I picked up my lemon chicken order a few minutes ago and then I asked him if they typically serve the lemon chicken with no sauce. He said they do not, then asked me if I got sauce. I explained that if I had gotten sauce on my lemon chicken this call would not be necessary. Then he asked me if I wanted to come back and pick it up. No, I do not want to waste any more of my lunch hour than I already have especially since now I get no food, except some rice. The rice is so sticky it comes up in one clump. There were no utensils or napkins, they must come separate with the sauce. I strongly suggest if you do decide to order from here, check your order for the sauce that you would think would come on it. And they really could care less that you are not happy. Door Dash really doesn't either. If I could give no stars, that is what I...
Read moreAfter moving to San Antonio, we struggled to find good Chinese food. I judge my chinese by the egg drop soup and the sesame chicken.
Previously, China Inn was my go to, but it was far, so we couldn't go as frequently. My wife stumbled upon Oolong bistro on Instagram. We chose to go to the Helotes halloween haunted trail, and decided to give Oolong a try.
The egg drop soup, was the 1st I had where you can taste the chicken broth without huge globs of corn starch and msg. It had a great taste and I was thoroughly satisfied. I Then ordered the 2 entree order with sesame chicken and beef mushrooms. My first bite of the chicken, I wasn't sure. The 2nd bite, I was convinced. The chicken is fresh, with light crunchy breading. The sauce is also light and not overpowering sweet, but when mixed with the steamed rice, every bite is a huge burst of flavor.
My wife had sweet and sour shrimp. Full of flavor, breading was not overpowering. The sauce was fire, and brought it all together!
The lomein my 5 year old got, what can I say but omg. Delicious sauce, delicious noodles, delicious mushrooms and baby corn, delicious and succulent chicken.
I enjoyed my food and will definitely be...
Read moreI’ve been a long time customer here with my family; it was several years ago that I complained about my food temperature; chicken was very cold; instead of offering to warm my food, the owner just said I complained too much. I left and thought id never come back, however I moved back in the area a year ago so my husband and I have been going to this restaurant and had no problems; our food and service was great until today. I went in with my daughters and grandkids; our chicken was not completely cooked and there was a hair on the lemons. We told the server, but instead of apologizing, she kept arguing with us saying nothing wrong with the food. The owner was notified and again she said I’m always complaining and told me to never come back because she can’t satisfy me; if she thinks cold raw food with hair in food is ok, then this restaurant needs to close down because the attitude of this owner and the server was absurd. I’m writing this review because people need to know that they could possibly get sick from eating raw meat and also know that if you complain about any little thing, the owner will argue with you instead of apologizing and offering to...
