Bill Miller BBQ — Restaurant in Helotes

Let me first say not all Bill Miller Locations are Bad. I eat at other locations all the time and my Company also uses them for catering. This Location obviously has a Management Issue from the Poor Online Reputation. I arrived with my Family last night about 15 minutes before they closed. I did not know the closing time until later. First we approached the Place to order and we noticed everyone had gone behind the wall. You cannot see but you can hear. Someone said " don't go out and maybe they will leave". I waited patiently since I had bragged to my daughter how great the food was. She had been traveling all day to visit me from another state and was exhausted and hungry. Next, Tory comes out. We had some questions regarding the menu. She rolled her eyes and was speaking very fast. With a very Arrogant Tone. We started to make our order, everything we asked for she said They were out. No BBQ Sausage, No BBQ Chicken, Then I tried to order a #1 and she said they were out of French Fries. Another worker was giggling and laughing in background . I said " what do you have on menu". Someone behind wall replied. NOTHING WE ARE CLOSED HA HA,,,,,,. At this point I was shocked by the Poor Customer Service I was Receiving I asked Tory do you treat all your customers this way ? TORY Snapped at me and Said How Dare you Come in here at Closing and Talk to me that way !!!! I was Shocked at this Treatment from Bill Miller's . My food order was 64.95 and I said No Thank You. I got my Family and told them we are leaving. I spoke to the Manager on my way out and he was clueless. I drove 2 blocks up the street to Slim Chickens and was Treated Amazing. Hard to believe with all the competition on Bandera Bill Millers tolerates Incompetent people to work for them. Definitely a Management Issue at this Location . Hopefully there corporate Office will do something about this location. I Manage a large Business with over 160 employees and understand how bad employees cost you...

I order the Wrangler Plate & it is 2 meals for me. The Wrangler plate is 1 meat w 2 sides for $6.99. What a bargain!!!

I go in for my to go orders so I can control how much of white or dark bread & butter I get, as well as sauce/salsa, onions, pickles, etc.

Doing it this way allows me to have a 2nd meal. I can control what I need to & eat the same meal again the next day, OR: I LOVE the dark bread so I can make a sandwich w a portion of my meat, my now extra pickles, onions, & sauce (because I went inside for the condiment bar & controlled how much of what I got the day before;. It is SOOO worth it to get out of ur car to go in for ur to go order!!!).. A sandwich like that, w leftover potato salad is certainly an adequate meal.

Suggestion: their mashed potatoes or their baked potato, which can be mashed (I leave the skin on when I use the baked potato since that's where the nutrients r). A bit of the butter, some cheese, (both from the condiment bar inside) & now I have a twice baked potato casserole to toss into my oven. This can also b a meal by itself.

The potatoes also pair well w the butter, cheese, & milk to make a delicious Loaded Baked Potato Soup when I garnish it w bacon bits & scallions.

Pay attention to what it is U might want to take home & order accordingly (e.g., double mashed or baked potato to use as described herein, or maybe double creamed corn for a corn casserole (w cheese & butter from the condiment bar inside).

How about sides being 1 creamed corn & 1 home fries to use for lunch the next day? Simply small dice leftover fries & add them to the creamed corn w a can of cream of mushroom & some milk. Add cheese if u like. Voila(!!!), now u have corn chowder.

The possibilities r endless & when u order smart u can control portion sizes & get 2 complete meals for $6.99.

As we say here in Texas, " U just can't beat that...

Well we should have know that was not going to be good when before we got are meal the unsweetened ice tea was sour, the team member replaced it as he brought out our tray and we had to ask him to bring the salad that we ordered but was not on the tray just the 1000 island dressing. We ordered a 3 pc fired chicken with salad and green beans and poor boy with fries and yes 2 ice tea. The chicken was cold and grease and the crust starting to get hard, his poor boy did not have enough meat and you could tell that the fries where the remains of the bottom of the tray and keeping with the nights dinner theme they where cold and starting to shrivel up. We asked the manager for a copy of the receipt for this complaint and he could not find it he said he had to call IT hmmmm. He did ask us if we would like a refund or a free meal but we said no its about getting a hot meal at noon or 8:30 pm. We paid the same dollar amount we should get the same service and hot meal simple math. As I sat there letting the manager know how bad our meal was and to stick his finger in the green beans that where cold not luck warm cold to the touch he didn't and I was fishing my salad that was could as it should be I go to take a bit in front of the manager pull up my fork and there was a hair in my salad discussing , I held it up and ask him if he saw the hair he said yes. I did tell the Manager that there is a lot of fast food down Bandera rd. in Helotes and we chose Bill Millers. I could have taken a refund or replacement meal , but what I want is change. Every customer coming in at 8:am,noon or 8:pm get a good meal.
