El Toro Taqueria — Restaurant in Hemet

Can't say enough good things about this place. It's amazing, tasty and clean. Staff is very welcoming and make extra sure to get your order correct and are always happy to suggest something or answer your questions.

You can get street tacos with the small tortillas or tacos with handmade tortillas (I haven't tried this but it's on the list to do). Tuesday is Taco Tuesday for street tacos. We've tried asada, chicken, adobada, birria, lengua & tripa (these last 2 we request well grilled) as well as their consome (the birria stew). All delicious. They even have 2 fried birria tacos that come with a consome and traditionally, you take the tacos and dip them in the consome before you bite it. Their aguas frescas are very good as well. If anything is left on a table by guests, they are prompt to clean up. On several occasions, we've dined in and also ordered to go so that we can have more later in the evening (we reheat in our counter toaster oven and they come out great, even the next morning after being refrigerated, IF any are left).

when I was told by the daughter aka the register lady that the tacos were three tacos for $0.99 at happy hour coming up in 6 minutes I did not know today was Friday Night so we.stopped what I we was doing and my girlfriend and I come in and as I got to the register the lady proceeded to tell me that today is Friday and they're happy hours are Monday through Friday that she messed up and when i kindly ask the lady at the register to still give me the offer she said no she cannot help me I asked to speak to the manager she said that was her father. Of course... I ask to speak to the father and when I explained what had happened with his daughter at the register and asked him if he would still honor the deal, since they messed up. he told me no.. wouldnt you expect such a franchise business as (El Toro taqeria) would honor that so I was extremely disappointed my girlfriend and I still have to go home hot as Hell. on the bus hungry needless to say. so I do not recommend ANYONE ANYONE EAT at El Toro Taqueria in Hemet California on Florida...

The place serves your basic Mexican dishes and when I say basic, I mean that they don't carry the Cali, Miami, Arizona or any other fancy burritos or dishes. They have what you're looking for, Mexican food. burritos, tacos, tortas, birria and a few other combo plates. And to drink, you can get your run of the mill bottles soda or you can go for the homemade horchata, watermelon and 3 other natural flavors. And these plates come loaded with rice and beans.
