I moved out of Hemet and sometimes I come to visit. This is a hidden gem of HEMET if you’re looking for great Thai/Vietnamese food. I used to come here before the remodel. The food was great back then and the food is still great today. The only thing that changed about this spot was the space and atmosphere. Now there are more table than ever. This place includes two private rooms for large parties.
Food 5 / 5 ⭐️ I ordered the Shaken Beef and Assorted Vegetables. They both equally tasted amazing. Both dishes come with Jasmine Rice but you do have a choice to upgrade it to fried rice for an additional cost. The vegetables were so good especially when you mix a little spicy chili sauce with it.
Atmosphere 5 / 5 ⭐️ The new restaurant atmosphere is twice as amazing from the old place. The old place was a hallway and it was nice. Now it looks like a fancy Asian Restaurant with its fake Jasmine trees around with an uplifting bar area. The bar does include 2 big screen tvs for sport watching. The restaurant was really clean as well.
Service 4.5 / 5 ⭐️ The service was good here. When we walked in it took a few minutes for someone to greet us on slow Tuesday. Our waitress Diana was amazing and took care of us right away. She was very attentive and served us water as soon as our glasses were empty.
This restaurant is one of the best spots for a date or for asian food cravings in Hemet. It is a little pricey. I paid close to $60 for two dishes but...
Read moreWe came at the end of January and it was a mess. Busy, out of control, staff arguing. We left after 45 minutes of a terrible service without ordering. Decided to come back and give it another try. Benefit of the doubt. One reason we left that night is that the owner (appeared to be) kept smoking next to the partially open door. Gross, but also I'm allergic. I did share this as I left last time. Finally went back. Noticed still a bunch of cigarette butts by doors. Nasty. Also disrespectful to the property in general. You don't care about your space? And others? My favorite was garlic noodles with filet and chicken satay. Not the same. Used to crave and devour it, didn't even want to eat it at all. It used to come out hot wok fresh and SUPER garlicky. It was lukewarm at best, barely any flavor... just oily noodles. And the satay was dry and broke apart, cold in the middle. No way this was cooked fresh to order. I don't think the same cooks are there, and I miss the girls that used to run the whole show - they were amazing. Not so friendly now (except one). Also appeared to be special treatment for friends. Waited 10 minutes at counter to pay while to go order was being taken. There were so many people there available to help! This used to be the spot where we brought guests, which we will never do again and quite frankly, won't even bring ourselves back. You had a good thing. We...
Read moreNot the best nite. I reserved a table for 4 to celebrate a birthday. Hostesses were great. Our waiter was not. Long waits for him to take care of us, and not very personable either. I'd tasted the King Crab fried rice ($30!) once before with the birthday guy, and it blew our minds; so delicious. So I highly recommended it for the table to share. It was terrible! As a chef myself, I realized that the chef/cook forgot to 'season' the fried rice. No soy sauce, no fish sauce, no seasoning at all. So disappointing. I ordered the orange peel chicken for myself. Another disappointment. The plate arrived with a mound of orange'ish, glistening chicken nuggets surrounded by broccoli florets all around; not the most creative presentation, but not a big issue. But..., the chicken nuggets were hard as rocks, obviously spent too much time in the fryer. The glaze was good, but the chicken, way too chewy, and the broccoli florets, barely cooked and cold. WOW. As our waiter was clearing the table, I quietly mentioned that he should let the head chef know about the unseasoned king crab fried rice. He replied 'if you'd let me know in the beginning, we could' ve fixed that for you'. He then disappeared, never to seen again! We had to go and ask one of the hostesses for the check which btw included the fried rice (not comp'd) and at full price, $30. Not...
