CREATIVE MEXICAN BRUNCH SPOT w/ UNIQUE BREAKFAST ITEMS! Let me tell you what you should immediately try, the Conchita French Toast and The Chingon burrito. First off, the Conchita French Toast meal is a SLICED CONCHA FILLED WITH HOUSE SWEET CREAM, GRIDDLED IN FRENCH TOAST BATTER TOPPED WITH FRESH SEASONAL FRUIT, CARAMEL & TRES LECHES! Why am I screaming? It's that good! I have never tried a concha in this form, it was genius. I felt like I discovered a new planet.
I also ordered The Chingon which has prime flap meat, poblano, and roasted salsa. It was spicy but worth every bite! It's not killer, but it made me sweat a bit (I'm a light weight).
I appreciated the professionalism of the staff. The waitress was very nice and outgoing, she seated us immediately and was working overtime. The restaurant was a bit understaffed so she was wearing multiple hats (including hostess and bartender).
The Brunch Spot had a trendy Mexican-American theme with blue lighting and plenty of seating. I spotted a bar, tables and high-tables. There's a cool mural on the main wall with rich colors and unforgettable art.
The Brunch Spot shares its kitchen with Tacos and Beer next door. I was SHOCKED, because Tacos and Beer was not a personal favorite of mine. This restaurant gave me hope for Tacos and Beer and encouraged me to return (which I did and it's gotten better). However, The Brunch Spot is 100x better imo and...
Read moreWent today for a second time with my daughter... and had a very disappointing experience. The first time we came we had a great time and the servers were very attentive. But today was not the case. We went about 30 minutes after they opened. We waited outside by the host stand for a few minutes, but no one came out. A server with blonde hair walked up from the parking lot and helped us. The poor thing wasn't even clocked in yet and was bringing us and another table that walked in at the same time menues. (There were only 3 other tables sat when we walked in) while we were waiting for our server, several other tables got sat and they all got served before we did. It took forever to even get our drinks. I had to ask several times for a water.
Also while we were eating the table next to us dropped a mimosa and the people behind the bar just watched her, didn't help her clean it up or anything... just sat and watched her. We barely saw our server. And we overheard the table next to us complaining about the same thing.
But the blonde server (i wish I got her name) was busting her butt running around taking care of things the other severs were ignoring. SHE deserves a lot of praise because she was working very hard.
Idk.if I'll be back because of the lack of good...
Read moreOk so this was a confusing experience lol LONG WAIT TIMES ON EVERYTHING however the quality of everything was excellent But food was also cold
The mimosa flight was chill Good flavor variety But again long wait time Also, it's a very small space and the table tops are also very small so the mimosa flights overtake the table and can make dining a bit awkward Especially for us given we had my toddler there and needed to keep the mimosas clear of him too
Our party of 3 adults, 1 child ordered; The 12 for 50 mimosa flight 4 for 20 mimosa flight Chilaquille and steak flight with beans and potatoes The 1/2 order biscuit and gravy combo And the broche French toast
All of the food was delicious and cooked well But due to extensive wait times all of it was pretty cold by the time it was served When all was said and done our bill was just shy of $150 And we had spent a total of 2 hours and 45 minutes there so expect a long meal service
In all fairness the service was lovely, our waitress was great It's just small and stays busy and has some timing kinks to work out
Would definitely...
