Went last night for dinner, first time there. The restaurant itself seemed nice enough with picnic tables for seating. We got in line to order our food and when we got to the counter we were greeted by two very grumpy, uncourteous and impatient cashiers. We quickly placed our order and found a table. It took about 15 minutes to get our food, which is fine. The restaurant itself wasn't too busy yet (we arrived at 5:30 PM on a Saturday night) but we saw a lot of to-go orders going out. Our food came out in two batches and on the second round we noticed we were missing an order of fries but couldn't catch the server in time. So my son went to the counter and they told him they would bring some right out. In the meantime we dig into our dinners. Note this is not the first time we've eaten Texas BBQ. I got the #7, three sliders with a choice of up to three different meats, a side of fried okra and a side of potato salad. The sliders consisted of bun and meat, nothing else. The buns were not what I expect for sliders, they were a bit on the dry side and rather dense, which if you wanted to drown in BBQ sauce, it would hold up. I expected something more like the King's Hawaiian rolls or something similar would have been way tastier. As for the meat, my trip tip was dry and flavorless and the pulled pork was way too salty but was not dry. The only decent meat was the smoked brisket, it was flavorful and not dry. Though I have to point out that someone needs to practice up on their knife cutting skills. I think an addition of pickles or some pickled red onions would brighten up these boring little sliders as the two BBQ sauces they offered was pretty basic and boring. The tomato based sauce was neither sweet nor spicy nor tangy while at least the white sauce had a little tang from the vinegar so I found mixing the two added some flavor to the sliders. I suppose you could also order some coleslaw as a side and put some on your slider. As for the fried okra, they were thick little slices with way too much batter and over done so they were dry. No dipping sauce was offered with it so we ended up asking for some ranch which didn't improve the flavor very much. I also had the potato salad which was decent enough in flavor and the potatoes were cooked through but I didn't appreciate the large chunks of raw onions and bell peppers, it would have been more appetizing if it were diced finer. Oh, after 15 more minutes of not getting our missing fries, we had to go back up to the counter again with which they promptly brought out some undercooked soggy ones that were in-edible which was a shame because the other two orders of fries were done well, crispy just as they should be. My son had the same sliders as me and was in total agreement with my critique of them and the fried okra. His girlfriend had the baby back ribs and while they were not dry and literally fell off the bone so she had to use a fork and knife, they were flavorless and she kept adding sauce to them. And her corn on the cob was mushy because they had probably sat in the steamer all day. My husband had the ultimate BBQ sandwich which he said was pretty good, not the greatest but not bad either. Upon leaving, they had gotten a lot busier with in-dining which might explain the late soggy fry delivery but that should not be an excuse, ever. Overall, this definitely was not the best Texas BBQ I have had but it wasn't a complete failure either. I think there is room for improvement, both in food and service but then haven't they been open for quite a few years? 🤔 Don't think I will personally be...

Read moreWe can't tell you enough how we have been waiting for a fantastic BBQ place to show up in this side of town. The atmosphere was such an upgrade compared to the last restaurant that was in this place. Along with the service and food to match! We walked in on the second day of soft opening so we weren't expecting much but boy were we in for a major surprise! Every dish we ordered was absolutely amazing! The half Rack of ribs were caked with dry rub and cooked to perfection. When eating ribs with my wife, I usually need to cut the meat off the bone, but that action was futile. I want to go move the ribs by a bone and the bone literally slid right out and the meat fell off the bone. The brisket was dripping with juice and perfectly smoked. The corn bread was exactly how I like it; a hint of sweetness a little chewy and doesn't fall apart in your hands. The fries were not typical either. They were delicious! Perfectly seasoned. Then came the green beans..... Oh the green beans!!! Covered in garlic and butter yet wasn't drenched to the point of feeling heavy.
The fries were not typical either. They were delicious! Perfectly seasoned.
Every dish was made as if they were trying to perfect them individually.
Usually there is one dish that falls short. So far, not at this restaurant.
As for the service, my wife was looking for a place to park her wheelchair and the only spot that would accommodate her wheelchair was a huge round table. And it looked like it was just her, even then this tall gentleman rushed to pull out a chair to make space for her. I walked over and said we have four total but we can't fill up this table. He kindly said not to worry it's not a problem at all. On top of just opening and people learning the operations of this establishment, the customer service was fantastic.
Oh I almost for to mention the price! Earlier in the day we just spent $26 for a meal and a half at fatburger. Here we spent $32 on two meals and a soda.
If Big B's can keep all these aspects up, especially the quality and taste, we will be coming here so long as we live in Vegas.
SO HAPPY WE HAVE A GREAT BBQ PLACE HERE! BIG THUMBS UP FOR BIG B'S...
