I was excited to try Jollibee in Henderson for the first time, but unfortunately my experience was just meh. After hearing a lot of hype about their fried chicken, I left the restaurant feeling disappointed. The food didn’t live up to expectations, and a few service hiccups made the meal less enjoyable than it should have been. On the bright side, there were some conveniences at this location that I appreciated. Here’s a breakdown of my experience:
-Ample Parking: The location offers plenty of parking spaces. I had no trouble finding a spot, which made the visit start off on a good note.
-Easy Online Ordering: I placed my order online and had the option for counter pickup or drive-thru. This system was very convenient and saved time, we managed pulled into their very tight drive thru and the order was ready.
-Convenient Pickup Options: Having both in-store counter pickup and a drive-thru for online orders is a nice touch. It’s great for avoiding long lines; you can just grab and go.
-Bland Fried Chicken & Fries: The famous Chickenjoy fried chicken was crispy but sadly lacked flavor. The breading and meat were under-seasoned, and the fries were super plain. I was expecting a burst of savory taste, but both the chicken and fries were disappointingly bland.
-Missing Item (Forgotten Side): I ordered a meal that was supposed to include mashed potatoes, but the restaurant forgot to include the mashed potatoes in my bag. Even though I used the online ordering system (which should, in theory, make things smoother), an item was still missing. This was frustrating and I only realized the side was missing when I got home. I called and they checked their CCTV and indicated they indeed forgot the item and would refund that item. That was good, I appreciated their accountability.
-Overpriced for the Quality: For a fast-food joint, the prices at Jollibee are on the higher side. I wouldn’t mind paying a bit more for great food, but given the lackluster taste and the mistake with my order, it didn’t feel worth the cost. I left feeling like I paid a premium for a meal that didn’t deliver on quality or taste.
Overall, my first trip to Jollibee was underwhelming. If you’re a die-hard Jollibee fan or curious to try their famous items, you might still want to check it out but manage your expectations. Double-check your bag before leaving the restaurant to make sure you have everything, and perhaps consider trying their other popular menu items (like the spaghetti or peach mango pie) to see if those are more satisfying. As for me, I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to return unless I hear they’ve stepped up their flavor and accuracy. I hope this was just an...
Read moreThis morning, I picked up my bulk order and was waiting as it wasn’t ready yet. While I was talking to the cashier, a young male employee came out from the back holding empty cans of pineapple juice. He asked another male employee where to place them. As I waited, a middle-aged woman, presumably a manager, came out from the back, visibly angry, and started yelling at the young employee. She was holding the empty cans and shouting, "Sabi ko sa iyo doon mo ilagay!" She screamed at him, almost waving the cans in his face in an aggressive manner.
I observed that the other employees stood there, seemingly afraid to intervene. Feeling compelled to speak up, I told them to stand up for themselves and not let anyone treat them poorly. I reminded them that the manager isn’t feeding them for free, and their salary doesn't come from her. I also noted that the working environment was toxic, as the employees were being treated unfairly, and managers were abusing their authority.
One of the employees even defended the manager, claiming she is usually kind. However, based on my observations, the young employee had made a small mistake or perhaps misunderstood a direct order. He did not deserve to be yelled at as if he had caused a significant problem for the store. After my comments, one employee thanked me for speaking out against the mistreatment of the young man.
I strongly urge the management at Jollibee Henderson to address this issue and examine the abusive behavior of their managers. If this mistreatment continues, I will consider taking further action by reporting the situation to the Enforcement Guidance on Harassment in the Workplace. This is a clear case of power abuse, harassment,...
Read moreI absolutely love how friendly the staff is here, not once have I walked into this Jollibee without being greeting by a smiling face and a warm welcome like I'm a family member. Everytime I order I always get my favorite spicy chicken sandwich and the 2 piece spicy chicken joy with rice and extra gravy with pineapple juice and every single time I'm blown away buy how perfect the food is for how cheap it is compared to other fast food joints. The toys they have at Jollibee are so cute and my daughter loves them so much I got her the Jollibee backpack and she won't take it off whenever we leave the house. The family bucket meals are very reasonably priced and the quality is still there for every piece. I've had my order messed up a few times but only by accidentally adding an original chicken joy instead of a spicy but everytime a manager has always sincerely apologized and gave me the correct item I ordered and has never looked annoyed at me or her crew the way they treat their employees is very professional and kind. The store is always day 1 opening clean it has been open for awhile but the cleanliness standard has never dropped I never have to worry about using their restrooms because I know it will be squeaky clean. There is more I want to praise them for but I've already wrote a short novel already I will end with this if you have never had Jollibee before make this one your first experience and you will be...
