Gaati Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Henderson

First time here for dinner with my family at Gaati Thai Kitchen. Pleasant atmosphere with soft music playing. They have a mini bar, cozy seating area and lots of items to choose from. Good service from Phil and PK, they were both friendly and checking up on us to see how things are going.

On the menu: Shumai Crab Rangoon Gaati Dumplings Papaya Salad Chicken Tom Yum Shrimp Gaati Fried Rice Beef Panang Curry Spicy Eggplant with ground beef

The appetizers were plated so nicely garnished with some light veggies. They were perfectly fried and not greasy. The Papaya Salad was refreshing. The Chicken Tom Yum was yummy, evenly balanced with the chicken and veggies. The Spicy Eggplant with ground beef was delicious according to our Pops it was on the salty side however, we didn’t think so and if so just have more rice. Lol. I had a piece of beef from my Brother’s Beef Panang curry I thought the beef was a bit on the tough side but the flavor of the panang curry was good. All in all everything we ordered was enjoyable. We ordered appetizers & drinks, there was only one other customer. The food came out fast but it was overcooked and greasy. The edamame was literally overcooked and super mushy though the sauce was good, and the gaati dumplings did not taste the same. The filling was off though the sauce was good as always. All the prices have gone up and they’ve gotten rid of their lunch menu? Our drinks were full of ice and were gone very quickly without refills. I’ve been here a few times before and enjoyed my food, the decor, music, and service… but nothing is the same. Cannot believe how many times she walked by us and ignored us. We sat there for Finish over 30 minutes after the appetizers were delivered. The one time I did try to get her attention. She walked away and ignored me. When I finally got her attention because I was tired of waiting and wanted the bill, I told her about the food. She did not apologize or really even acknowledge it. I'm not sure about the food, because I was only there to pick up an order for someone. The service however was horrendous. The server told me multiple times how busy they were, and that I would have to wait. There were exactly 2 tables in the restaurant, so I'm not sure how busy they could have been. When the food came out I still had to request that he finished the order and give me the drinks that came with. He even questioned me to ask if I were sure they were drinks on the order. I then asked for some straws and forks and condiments to go with the order. He informed me that I was allowed 1 straw 1 fork and one napkin per order. When I asked for some sauce and chili to go with it he told me that if it was not requested on the original order he was not going to put it in.
